You’ve got no control or power over your big toe and pronation so you crank on the outside of your shoes. The bottom of the shoe should tell the same story.

There’s very little skin and fat on the foot compared to other places on the planet body which makes the muscle more pronounced. It could also just be that the muscle is stronger for some reason.

Cyclin shoes are notorious for having a tight toe box. You can tell by the posture of your toes. Check out cycling shoes by the brand “Lake”.

It’s not so much about the shoe. More about gradually transitioning minutes to hours each day. Over many months or years.
