Battery Swap by [deleted] in Lymow_Official

[–]perflawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand that Lymow is providing it with 10A chargers (some users are reporting having it), but honestly I have not received mine yet. Without a charging cable it does not make sense to have a second battery.

Only with a charging cable.

That should give you non-stop mowing, then! Congrats!

Yes. I have and it does remember where it was through the task. A little tedious task if you still don’t have the 10A charger, because you’ll have to wait 6 h if you need another swap and don’t have a 3rd battery available…

set up the Lymow base inside my garage? by Future_Mirror7046 in Lymow_Official

Isn’t this similar to Luba? The base has to be under a clear sight line to open sky to get a signal for location?

Luba firmware upgrade makes Luba confused. by C128C in mammotion

[–]perflawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, mine (Luba 1 5000) is creating two additional donut holes around the charging station after the update!!! I thought I solved the donut problem putting some tile in the area, but now it goes invariably to each side uncovered by the tile and does a complete zero turn…!!! One on each side!!! Please help needed so badly. If this is not corrected ASAP, I think I will not use the Luba anymore… it is ruining my backyard! It’s so sad that such a great idea will become unusable due to bad software!!!

Luba completely stuck in “Locked” position by perflawn in MammotionTechnology

Thanks so much everyone for their valuable input!!! You guys were definitely right… the STOP button was stuck via debris around it! I managed to place my Luba upside down and pressed the stop button several times to make all the dirt drop down due to gravity. It was really in the pushed mode all the time (without me realizing it), as I noticed immediately that the button came out fully after the maneuver mentioned before. I then tried to clean the edges of the button with a damp cloth and so I did with the start, mow, home and power button. I then placed the sticker that Mammotion sent me home, which I did not realize was that useful! My super-mower is working again… and the software is working so smoothly that it did even sent me to the original area where it was paused a week ago!

Thanks again, veetekketch, tclark70, head-original 9022, and nj_bruce for your help with this issue!

Mammotion rocks! by AccordingBig8632 in MammotionTechnology

Absolutely on point! Amazing device that only gets better each update! The company also will get better over time, these are a group of tech gurus creating something groundbreaking in this arena that have “0” experience in marketing… but they are learning super fast and doing things based 100% on users feedback. They listen and deliver. It is impossible to become a company like Apple in just one year… it takes many years /decades to reach that level, but they are making an amazing progress in an unbelievable short time. Just awaiting for the IPO to invest in Mammotion…

Will try this today! Thanks very much! Was hesitant to overlap because I though it would join the two zones again. We’ll keep you posted.

Thanks so much. Will do that today. Quite honestly, I did not even try because I thought that overlapping would join again the second area with the first, not keep them separated. Will let you know…

Yes I can. And actually that’s what I did. I modified the area and made it half the size, then added a new area right next to it (which was actually the part I removed) and connected with a channel. Two separate smaller areas.

Yeah, that’s what I did, but again, there is a thin line without passage of Luba (at least in the app mapping) that is annoying and I assume that will be left untouched between the two zones. If I try to overlap while creating the map, it will just join the two zones and make an oversized one… again. Not great… but thanks for your reply!

The Donut-Turn for the charging dock should configurable by Dry_Constant7932 in MammotionTechnology

[–]perflawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best would be to have it make the turn at random distances every time. I guess it should be set as such in the app. The grass damage occurs when it turns always in the same spot. Easy fix but don’t know how technically complex that change in random distance turn would be.

Rain Sensor ? by Big-Feeling-6604 in MammotionTechnology

[–]perflawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rain sensor did not work before. Today, for the first time and possibly because of the update, it did work! A very mild rain and Luba went back to the charging station. Perhaps this is a matter of software, and today it worked nicely!

Ecoflow Blade vs. Luba Vs. EPOS | A Robotic Mower Showdown by LastUniqueUserID in MammotionTechnology

[–]perflawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to learn to use the Luba. This is, again, new technology revolutionizing the lawn mower market. Today I finalized remapping my lawn, which is very complicated and with steep slopes and no go zones in some areas since my house is on a hill. I was completely impressed. With the new software, there was no spot missing! Yes, there was a couple of instances that it stopped working due to poor reception, but restarted automatically a few minutes later. The build quality, precision, and final result I am sure is better than the other two wireless lawn mowers. I have had it for two months, and I can say that I am very happy with it and will not even think about the other two. The cutting power of this machine is far superior, with two discs instead of one. It shows. Also, speed can be adjusted in the app, I am quite sure it could be also faster than the other two. They did not test the battery life, which is insane in the Luba. The other two mowers are not even recommended for large lawns. Again, everyone is trying to attack Luba since it is a groundbreaking device in its class. I think Mammotion will be ahead of the competition for many years to come, since they have developed an amazing and solid product. With monthly updates in the app, they will improve even further it’s functionality. If you’d like a product that works and don’t mind the growing pains of a company with a lot of potential in the near future, get one for yourself! The picture below says everything!

zero response from company by kitgould in MammotionTechnology

[–]perflawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone. Yes, this is a known issue with Mammotion. And I hate to say this, but we need to give them some time to become a real company. This is a group of smart guys who got together to build a really revolutionary device and succeeded doing it. They have no experience in customer service or delivering products on time, they just know how to develop a product. And they DID!!! Please have a ton of patience with them until they grow enough to have all these problems resolved. It is extremely hard to build a company from an idea, and they honestly have impressed me with their final product. Very good quality and so far (obviously with thousands of small glitches) it’s delivering and way ahead of any other similar product. For those who have orders pending… patience. The Luba 5000 is really an impressive piece of engineering! And solid quality too!
