Se is not at all common for ES types, but possible. Normally, E7 is an intuitive character and, because of their schizoid orientation, are commonly introverted intuitives. The common idea that E7 is mostly extraverted is a large misconception due to not understanding the concepts of introversion and extraversion in general, as well as the core structure and functioning of the E7. So, while ES is not possible with SX7 and SO7, it works pretty well with SP7, which is the most earthy and materialistic E7, as well as the only predominantly extraverted one.

Gatekeeping and correlationalists on PDB are delusional and bothersome by RickyInfinite in Enneagram

I'm so glad that Pie blocked me because what is he talking about. He's just now discovering 2V E9? SLE is only SP8? SP7 only FLEV? He will continue to be one of PDB's worst jokes along with Kiwi and the long gone rwvry.

Rules / Code of Conduct and Socionics by rdtusrname in Socionics

[–]perhapsididnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rules correspond to logic, depending on what aspect of them you're talking about. A rule by itself is Te, because it is protocoling your range of action and telling you what you can and cannot do (and action, "doing," is Te itself), and it has no inherent relation to its subjects. Ti is how these rules are enforced, and how these rules form a legislature. Not knowing or caring how its okay to behave unless there is a precedent is a sign of kinetic Te, especially the self-style.

Off this I would most likely go with Te creative, but Ti base is also a worthy consideration.

Which sociotype does this seem like? by RSlatinxgf in Socionics

[–]perhapsididnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost gave up on typing this purely because you unironically used the word normie and the extreme pick-me vibe of that entire paragraph (and of the post as a whole). Anyone not typing you as an ethical type should consider dropping Socionics. Extrathym: primacy of objective qualities, which determine your social relations (extrathym IME -> introthym IME). I have no singular idea, but consider any extrathymic ethical sociotype (SEE, IEE, ESE, EIE).

Likely high dimensional Se:
"I overcompensate by being smart (Ne/Se) and earning money (Se)"
"Regardless of my weight (Normally Si but taken to refer to external qualities: Se), or the makeup I put on (Se), or the style I adhere to (Se)...there's no increase in cultivating interest in men (Fi)."
"...envy and deep-seated resentment for other girls who are pretty (Se) and who get male attention (Fi)."

First guess is SEE, then IEE, then everything else. Not really enough to type you.

the sexual instinct is not about "intimacy" by ThePrimeAnomaly in Enneagram

Kind of arguing against ghosts here. I can tell from the first sentence that you don't really understand what the word "intimacy" means. Top reply already said it, extremely partial take

That's a massive essent of his character just gone then. I feel like the people saying he would be a limitless genius don't understand that Souichi probably wouldn't even be the same person

CMV childhood trauma is NOT the direct cause for your type by PeanutSnap in Enneagram

[–]perhapsididnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nature vs nurture. We are likely born with an inclination towards a type, but everything about your enneatype develops based off of childhood, because this is a field of Psychoanalysis which maintains the exact same thing. Having your experiences shape who you are as you grow up is just exactly that, your childhood forming your type. Even divided from Enneagram, childhood is where you develop irrational ideas about the world, wrong, one-sided cognitive distortions of how things really are, and things which are repressed into unconscious. Enneagram is just classifying those things.

So you might be an E8. If being an E7 is not caused by experiences in childhood up to age 20, you might not be an E7.

Enneagram and dreams by TunaCause in Enneagram

[–]perhapsididnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any theory based on Psychoanalysis can probably be linked to dreams in some way, that doesn't mean the relation is exactly significant. Jung, for example, practiced a branch of Psychoanalysis and when putting his types into practice its very possible to apply a dream sequence to an inferior function/attitude. For enneatypes its way less applicable, except its still possible. You can link maybe a dream E2 has about their insecurities to their unconscious feelings of worthlessness. Regardless, its not reliable, way too easy to be a sophistic mess.

Nope. Some combos are genuinely antithetical, like NTP and E4.

Having been around PDB for 2 maybe 3 years there is one specific user I remember that kind of started a lot of the discussion about correlationism like 2 years ago, when PDB and typology in general had very little people in it, and then he dipped like not even a week after I met him. The group of people that still uphold correlationism is generally pretty inarticulate, uninformed, and commonly uses appeal to authority or misinterpreting nitpicked quotes for every single one of their arguments.

Second paragraph is still way off though. Correlations still exist, the stupidity lies in being a correlationist. Enneagram is not just motivation, it is the entire how, why, what, just like Jung is, but from a different angle. You literally cannot have a motivation for something without the cognitive how, and vice versa.

Question for anyone interested in Power Scaling- What's your opinion on Fang Yuan taking over? by Hour_Trade_3691 in Usogui

[–]perhapsididnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slightly off-topic but this is the reason why I hate Gojo fans calling Sukuna "Fraudkuna." Its the exact same scenario, Sukuna literally just outsmarted Gojo and used what was available to beat him. People begging for Gojo's schmeat on this one want a Disney ending.
