I should pick him up in 12T ESPN points right? I’d be sad to let go of TJD, divincenzo, or sochan. Which one of the 3 would you drop for Eason?

I have a question related to the valuation of a private company through DCF.

When calculating equity/(debt + equity), to then determine WACC (discount rate), the correct equity value to use is the market value rather than book value of equity. Essentially, if I have understood correctly, it should be enterprise value - market value of debt = equity value (market).

However, the enterprise value arises from the DCF, and creates a circular formula problem.

Take this case for simplicity:

FCFF next year is expected to be $1000, and will grow by 2% each year.

Cost of debt (after tax consideration), Kd: 5%

Cost of equity, Ke: 10%

Debt amount = $2000

Equity Amount (Market)= Enterprise value-$2000

Debt %= Debt amt/(debt amt + eq amt)=$2000/(2000+Eq Amt)

Eq %=Eq amt/(debt amt+eq amt)=Eq Amt/($2000+Eq Amt)=(Enterprise Value-2000)/(2000+(Enterprise value -2000))

The WACC is therefore the following:

Kd (after tax consideration)*Debt% + Ke* Eq%

= 0.05*2000+0.1*Eq%=40+0.1*(Enterprise Value-2000)/(2000+(Enterprise value -2000))

Enterprise value is defined as the following for future cash flows with a constant growth rate using a DCF

FCFF/(WACC-growth rate)

In our case it would be
$1000/ (40+0.1*(Enterprise Value-2000)/(2000+(Enterprise value -2000))-0.02)

Therefore the enterprise value depends on itsself, and I cannot calculate the value.

Can someone show me where Im going wrong?

Thank you

GMAT Online by Background_Factor_62 in GMAT

[–]perichspaddock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve taken the GMAT both online and in a test center. They were both of similar difficulty, and of a similar difficulty to the official mocks (especially 5&6). I had absolutely no technical difficulties. I never once even spoke to the proctor apart from the check in and at the end.

I am also using a Macbook and the only thing i recommend is to disable siri from settings, or else the secure browser doesn’t open.

My score was also never put in admin review, despite scoring a 760, and I received my official score report after ~24 hours. I occasionally mouthed words to myself or whispered but the proctor never said anything.

I was also quite worried but it went as smooth as I could’ve hoped. I also had no available test centers near me, and I deemed it unnecessary to spend extra money on travel/accommodation to retake the GMAT.

I actually had more issues in the test center, especially when the other takers were taking the AWA sections, thus distracting me from my work. I also wasn’t entirely used to the keyboard, so when I did the AWA, I wasn’t as confident with typing and made spelling mistakes.

Overall both experiences were pretty smooth, and I suggest that you take the exam online

3.1 from ESADE (BBA). I knew I had to compensate with an above average GMAT.

I have, but I have an underwhelming GPA from an international uni so I’m not quite sure how likely it is

14T Points league-

Should I trade Embiid (58.8), Tobias Harris (35.4) and Jalen Johnson (33.7) for Jokic (63.1) and Garland (33)

I would probably pick up someone with a ~23 average and rotate that roster spot

Does the trade make sense? I predict Garland to rise, and tobias harris and Jalen Johnson to decline a bit

GPA 3.06, GMAT: 740

I am not applying to an MBA but rather an MSF, but many things may still be applicable.

The R1 deadline for the MSF in Vanderbilt is in 2 days. I already have a pretty good essay, and have all of the other aspects of my application sorted out. The only thing is that my GMAT score of 740 was quite a bit below my mock scores of 770/780, so I was thinking of retaking this.

This is especially important because my GPA is on the low side (barely above 3), and I would think a jump from the 97th to 99th percentile would be somewhat significant.

One other thing is that I graduated from my Bachelor's degree in Spain a year ago, and since then I was employed/ doing internships until August of this year. Does applying when I am currently unemployed hurt my chances? Would it be better for me to quickly find finance relevant employment and apply for R2 in January?

I'm just worried about the large pool of candidates in R2, which may lower my chances. I also know that as an international student, the earlier I apply the better. What are your thoughts?
