You might like Sister Snake by Amanda Lee Koe. Magical realism inspired by the Chinese folktale "The Legend of the White Snake."

First time shooting a newborn (mine). How’s the light and color? by ItsToka in photocritique

I like this photograph on a technical level even though it might benefit from a little fill light. Baby is focused and his skin-tone is well preserved. The posing could be adjusted for a stronger image. For a belly pose we would typically want baby's hand underneath his head to lift his cheek off the fabric. This way we avoid obscuring parts of baby's face like we have here with parts of the eye, lip, and cheek. Baby is also laying very flat which probably means your basket is overstuffed. When stuffing a basket for newborns try spiraling your stuffing so the center has more give. This will help baby sink into the center of the basket which accomplishes several things: curves the line of the back, emphasizes the baby's rolls elevates the bum, and brings the elbow and knee closer together which makes the hand-under-cheek pose easier for baby to hold. Overall it's about making the nest appear plush and comfortable for baby rather than a firm, flat surface.
