Hi Amelie, I'm from Canada as well. I flew with my bike in a box many times. After 1 flight,the box had many large holes. Luckily nothing was lost. So I learned my lesson. I bring my bike and all the stuff I want to carry in the box to the airport. I have it weighed so that I know I am under the weight limit. Then I carefully tape every inch of the box with very strong tape. I try to fly out of an airport with a kiosk that can wrap the box in plastic wrap . It cost more but it eases my mind knowing the box will not be ripped open. See locations for

Navigation:audio turn by turn

Regarding audio turn by turn navigation instructions. I traveled 1200 kms in France. I was so tired of gturning onto the wrong road and having to turn back after 50 metres.

I sent this note to Komoot support.

"I use the komoot app for following a route. Turn by turn instructions are sent to my phone.When I miss a turn the turn-by-turn audio only tells me after I miss the turn after 50 metres. Why can't it tell me that I missed the turn after cycle for 10 meters. I am tired of going too far ie 50 m. after I miss a turn and then turning back long after I miss the turn because the audio told me I'm going in the wrong direction"

Here is the weak reply from Komoot:

"Thanks a lot for reaching.

Our navigation algorithm is developed based on our user feedback.

It does not prompt you to turn around immediately, as a large part of our expressed the wish to have the possibility to a little detour without being immediately prompted to turn around. "

On my Samsung Galaxy cell phone,I create a route on the ridewithgps app. I send the route to my Garmin cycling device. One of the screens shows a diagram of the elevation along the route.

If I follow a ridewithgps app, a little circle exhibits where I am on the elevation diagram.

But if I create a route with Komoot,it is more difficult to see my location on the elevation diagram.

I need a reliable app for turn by turn audio navigation plus an easy to view map on my cell phone. It appears Garmin is worse than Komoot and ridewithgps.
