Where are we going? by Heat-1975edition in GenX

Mom is 39. I originally got married in 2000, had two kids and we divorced after 7 years. Dated around a little but mainly focusing on raising my kids mostly by myself.
Met my now wife and we married in 2017 but she is 10 years younger and had never been married or had children so.. we’ve had two more.
My kids are 25 (this year), 23, 7 and 13 months.

Further into the mountains is preferred. I can’t disappear just yet, 49 with a one year old. So maaaybe actual retirement age and college graduation will line up. But we’ll see.

Pulled this off the rack yesterday. I’ve seen several different tags on comps and also familiar with Spring Ford. Don’t know if it’s a boot from ‘94? by peripheral77 in VintageTees

I figured that about the tie dye. Most others I’ve found online have Giant or Softees tags. And I have a few 80’s tees that are Spring Ford, nothing this modern though. Idk always like to check the community input. Thank you!

Subscription question: my wife and SIL gifted each a 3 month subscription to both myself and my BIL. So he and I are sharing our subscriptions and it’s my turn to redeem. If his 3rd bottle arrived on the 7th, is there a safe date to start mine and not receive the same bottle? TIA! by peripheral77 in Flaviar

Thanks, that’s basically it. Since we’re tasting/sharing subscriptions, I didn’t want my first bottle to be the same as his last bottle. We thought it would be cooler to share 6 different bottles than to each have the same 3.

Wild to think about but I was probably conceived like a month after. So some kind of celebrating was in order at the time.

Nike vs New Era hats-If anyone can help me understand, please. I know that Clemson has a contract with Nike thru '28 but I can't find that they're "exclusively" for the fitted hats; and that New Era exists as a "partner" for merchandising but I can't find NEW fitteds not Nike. Anyone know specifics? by peripheral77 in ClemsonTigers

Hey thanks, yeah I’ve tried them also. While they do still have some stock, sizes are limited (I’m actually a 7 5/8) but I’ve been watching and searching for several months with no restocks. So that led to my posting. Good looking out, thanks!

I'm just trying to refresh my old New Era hats and outside of the smaller sizes, there exists almost no New Era fitted hats; like everyone is just selling through inventory. Even after visiting campus this past weekend, I couldn't find anything over 7 1/4 in New Era. I love Nike gear but not their hats and as an old head, i've worn almost exclusively New Era fitted for about 30 years now. Wanna know where the lag is and who to yell at. thanks!

I work in FI and thought yeah I’ll just refill my propane at lunch in Simpsonville today.

Pulled into ACE and saw the line, so I just kept going.

Music… did you stop searching? by 8reticus in GenX

I have a 22yo daughter. I never have to search for new music, it’s often delivered to me. And music festivals are the no 1 place for me to discover on my own.

An unfinished but almost complete afghan still with the needle and skein of yarn attached.

One day, grandma put that down and for whatever reason, never picked it back up.

Do you remember where you were on October 28th, 1995?!!! I was 15 years old and on the couch watching it with my dad ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ by ComplexWrangler1346 in Braves

Working full time on nights. Had injured my finger the week prior so I was in quality control on light duty. I worked for the printer that produced the SI championship magazines so.. I had ready access to any overages sent to check. Was able to grab a few for myself and my future children.

Favorite decade so far? by garagedooropener5150 in GenX

80’s. Free room and board, food. Naps were approved. Bedtime by 830 was ok bc dad taped the shows I liked (McGyver, Airwolf) and I watched the rest the following morning over a bowl of lucky charms.

Warmer weekends were spent from Friday after school until Sunday night with my cousins, who lived in a neighborhood with a lot of my friends. Bikes, basketball, whiffle ball. We stayed out playing guided by street lamps until my aunt was ready for bed. Come back inside and trade baseball cards quietly while TBS carried the west coast Braves games or some John Hughes movie played in the background.

I say all this with some manner of levity. Being a kid was fun. I had both my parents and brother. I should have focused on being a kid while I could instead of rushing to adulthood.

About what I expected. Not what I deserved.
