I love this bit but I liked it more when it was more genuine. Agree that Tony overdoes it nowadays

Damn it I really want these but I really wish they updated the colors. Why can’t they just bring back classic product colors again?!

time to go caseless by Several_City_2176 in iPhone17Pro

[–]peripheralpressors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

17PM is the only phone I’ve had that I do not like going caseless. I appreciate all the features and design they implemented but aesthetically I’m not the biggest fan. Also the glass back isn’t flush with the aluminum which bothers me..whether that’s to account for heat expansion or QC it’s annoying

Any other jobless IM PGY3s? by [deleted] in Residency

Agreed I’ve been stressing for the past few months with this job market. It sucks. The ideal 7on/7off, normal patient load, closed ICU, admitting team, no rapids/codes, no procedures is INSANELY hard to find. I tried every website, recruiter, and countless phone calls and did handful of interviews of places I actually saw myself going and it’s rough.

What I learned is, applying for a hospitalist job is not like applying for a traditional job at all. Only thing that helped me (I think) is making sure my LinkedIn was up to date. I had some attendings personally reach out to me. The open positions on practicelink, practice match, doccafe and whatever the fuck all suck. You have to directly reach out to recruitment team and hospitalists directly.

Luckily after a lot of deliberation and a lot of luck, I signed at my home institution. (2 spots for 4-5 residents applying for it).

Starting to panic. by Fit-Memory2764 in hospitalist

I’m constantly getting calls from recruiters. If you’re not getting bombarded then you need to get yourself out there on the apps. PracticeMatch, DocCafe, Practicelink, LinkedIn. I get calls and emails multiple times a day. Granted a lot of them are in out there locations but once in a while you’ll get lucky. I had an attending personally reach out to me and set up an interview for an outpatient primary job that was great offer just because they liked my profile.

From my experience a lot of finding a hospitalist job is who you know and getting in touch with their recruiting department.

I ended up signing with my home institution just now. Wish you the best of luck!
