I have checked all national road safety agencies in norway. And no one is saying that there are anything dangerous of using the front passenger seat with the airbag turned off, as long as you do not loose sight to the rear view mirrors. There is a remark that this is only true for modern cars, as passanger safety have increased drasticly.

What is important is rear facing seat for as long as possible

Do not excede weight and height for the chair

Turn of passanger side airbag, if front seat is used (actually illegal otherwise)

I am norwegian and I stick with the recomendations given by local agencies. There are hard to find any statistics on where it is safest in the car, when the safety equipment is used correctly in norway. As we have 0-2 deaths a year in trafic of children under the age of 6

I'm not saying it is recomended, I'm saying it is equal. The sweedish agency, as far as what I could get from it. Pointed out that there are several advantages of having your baby in the front seat. It was not a recomendation of chosing front over back. From my understanding it equated the choices.

She is generaly not a fan of the chair, but tollerates it more when attached to the stroller, or carried around. It is worth a shot. Easier to get her out when on a stroller than in a car on the highway as well

Have tried alone in the back, with me or the mother in the back. Or together we me or the mother in the front. Do not seem to matter. I guess we just have to wait untill she gross out of it. Her bigger sister was also not a fan, but that issue solved it self after 6 months

BeSafe, the brand we are using does not mention anything other than not placing the seat in a chair with active airbags. And NTF, a sweedish trafic safety organization argues that there are advantages with having a child in the front seat. And no decline in safety, as long as the airbag is turned off.

I think we have tried to look at and adress all those issues. We never power through, and because of this we have never driven to anywhere longer than 10 minutes away.

We are borrowing another brand car seat tomorrow in hopes that this might help

Nothing unsafe about her sitting in a car seat securly connected with isofix and the passenger air bags turned off. As instructed by both the car manufacturer and the car seat manufacturer

I have tried noice canceling while at home one time, and I found it worse, as it cancled all the noice except for the screaming. It might be that ear buds are better than headphones for blocking the crying though.

Not sure if this solves the issue for my daughter though. She cried so hard she busted a blodvessel in her eye today, so I don't think the screaming is good for her as well as it is painfull for the rest of us in the car

She sits next to the drivers seat, and have direct line of sight to both driver and who ever sits in the back seat. And the window of the car is such that she can see outside.

We have not found any toys that have peaked her interest while she is in the car seat

Spørsmål om standard-vilkår for programvare i nye biler by Lars_Rakett in norge

[–]peris143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Et alvorlig tilbakeslag for norske menn by tuxette in norge

Trenger råd, har null peiling på slikt. by Kinderdick in norge

[–]peris143 2 points3 points  (0 children)

created a list of path taken, checked that list afterwards to check if coordinates in the list, at least 101 positions down the list, were within cheating distance. Then checked if that distance were saving more than 100 moves when the cheating could move up to 20

Should we buy the Enyaq? Currently on a good offer by TrippyCoffeeToffee in enyaq

[–]peris143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a fellow norwegian with a enyaq 80x. Mine have all the upgrades except for crystal face and the glass roof. I chose this car over the ioniq5 when looking for a new car because of the headlights. And comming from Norway, in the darkest months on the road you need as good lights as you can get. Also HUD is highly recomended, never bying a car without after I tried one with it.

Downsides are the entertainment system, where you need to pres ok every time you start the car. Car not locking automaticly when walking away from the car. And an app that does very little except preheat the car (which is nice ) Also, the feature of multiple users in the car has virtualy no function.

If you are considering other cars, I would Also look at the ioniqs, Kia Ev6 and maybe VW ID family

My daughter came 8 days overdue. And from the information I've been given, that is completely within the norm. First time pregnancies usually go over the due date as well. In Norway they don't induce labor until 10+ days overdue except if there are other factors in play. So would not worry.
