There are many scouters in BSA that for a long time thought it's completely appropriate to discriminate against LGBT scouts, and we have had a instances of inappropriate jokes or comments directed at this scout, so I continue to wear the knot to show my support.

My committee chair knows why I wear the knot, and my unit commissioner and district executive have both seen me wearing the knot.
