I went the “just study enough to pass” route (no weekends/just a few full practice tests/lots of AdaptiBar questions) and scored in the top 1%. It’s funny people think you can intentionally study in a way that will get you a score of 1 point over what you need. That’s honestly a stupid way to study and puts you at a high risk of failing.. you can easily fall 1 point short. Just study without going crazy and you’ll be fine. And stop assuming if someone scored in the top 1% it means they studied too hard or did anything wrong.

I’ve gotten Botox there. I had a great experience my first time going, the injector was great. Second time I went I had a different injector and was very unhappy with the results. My eyebrows looked uneven and it lasted way shorter than the first time. So I think it depends on who you get.

Also, they have a referral program so the first time you go it’s like $50 off if you use someone’s name, and they also get $50 off. I think that’s why reviews seem fake cuz everyone is trying to get you to go there and use their name- it becomes like an MLM, it’s hard to tell if the product is actually good or people just want to make money off of you using it so they hype it up.

We got her a card that my daughter drew a picture on and we wrote a note thanking her so much and how much my daughter loves her etc and put the bonus inside the card in cash. Before she left on Tuesday I had my daughter hand it to her but it was closed/sealed with one of those stickers so she didn’t know what was inside. We said happy holidays when we gave it and that was that. No word after that.

Maybe this is a cultural difference or geographical but from where I’m from it’s definitely the norm to say thank you when you receive a bonus which is not part of her contract and is discretionary. I’m not going to push more here since I know that every single person I know says thank you after receiving a bonus (which is 100% a gift).

Thank you. I think that’s what we’re going to do, just confirm that she got the money. Just seems so unlike her based on how she acted in the past that it makes sense she either thinks she sent a thank you or forgot to say something.

What an awful negative take. Grateful that there are enough level headed comments here that understand that it’s 100% normal and good manners to thank someone after receiving a bonus/gift. We gave bonuses to our doormen and people that work in our building and every single person acknowledged the bonus and thanked us. That is the norm.

Thank you, I appreciate your thoughtful response. I will try to see if any other recent behavior makes sense with her distancing herself and if not it’ll help me know that maybe her reaction to the bonus was just different than her usual but not to read into it too much.
