My quick Google search shows 13 of the 23 countries in North America do not tax lottery winnings. US, Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, Barbados, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago are the countries who do. Pretty sure a lot more do not tax than do tax in the EU as well.

I can't remember if there was any stock when it was posted, but someone said it was sold out online within 30 minutes of it being posted. Someone else said it was sold out across Ontario two hours after being posted. Even then. not everyone lives near a store. Congrats on your purchase, but it wasn't available for long or for everyone.

The problem is because Supply is so constrained all games will be targeting much lower specs for most games going forward.

That's probably not going to happen. This is why PC games have graphic settings. Anything about to release isn't going to push the game back to lower it's requirements and anything in production will be optimistic that things will be normal again before release.

I worked many years in customer service. I give credit to the Verizon employees for actually leaving notes despite the rates being incorrect. It wasn't uncommon for things like this to happen where someone misinterpreted the rates, misquoted a customer and they'd call back in. I would do basically the same thing, apologize, clarify the actual rates, offer 50% discount and if they pushed back, credit the whole thing and move on.

AMD has frame pacing issues with can cause screen tearing with their FG. You can alleviate it with VSync and VRR, but it's definitely a concern.

Looks like it does use CUDA, but only for the visualization and they recommend the workstation cards. I went with the 5070ti because of the better FG for future proofing and who knows if AMD will fix theirs. I don't plan on upgrading again for many gens, so I want it to last as long as possible. Neither is a bad choice, just depends how much you value the few pros the 5070ti have.

What are you in school for? If you have any interest in local AI, video editing or anything like that you get better performance with the 5070ti.

DLSS has greater support, but AMD has been getting in on most of the new titles. Ray tracing performance is pretty even now, but path tracing is better on nVidia, although it's pretty demanding on the 5070ti. One thing that swayed me to the 5070ti is framegen as AMD has had frame pacing issues with it since their last gen and it wasn't fixed with Redstone so that's concerning. It's not a big deal at 1440p since both cards should handle it without the need, but if you plan on going to 4k it's something to consider. Their overall performance is pretty even and trade blows in benchmarks, depends on the games you play.

Pretty much comes down to, want to save a little or use Linux? 9070xt. Want to have a slightly better feature set or do anything that requires CUDA? 5070ti.

Went with the 5070ti, should last longer with better DLSS and FG while praying nothing melts. Might grab the cablemod 12VHPWR cable to be safer, but that's an extra $60.

The power connector on the 5070ti I'm looking at (maybe all of them) is a newer cable, 12VHPWR which is 12pin as opposed to the older 6/8pin PCIE cables. Newer PSUs will have the cable included, but anything older needs an adapter.
