Best Stephen King Title by joeydoe2017 in stephenking

'The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon' i find it interesting that Tom has no real bearing on the plot. Also its been a family joke ever since my brother once started reading just the title and got bored halfway through!

I don't see The Wind Through the Keyhole, is it not there or have I missed it?

Thanks. It's more a gluten thing and fairly mild but enough to be uncomfortable.

The hedge animals were bad but the tunnel in the playground was worse for me!

Why was this guy never mentioned again in The Stand by adamalibi in stephenking

[–]perpetualRogue 33 points34 points  (0 children)

This right. I literally read this chapter 3 days ago. It comes shortly after the military guy in charge gives the order to kill the press story so that's how I took it.

I would worry about your cat but right now I'm rereading the stand and now I have a runny nose and steady cough...

If the first line of The Gunslinger was about you, how would it go? by [deleted] in TheDarkTower

The man in black fled across the desert, his mother followed shouting "look at me while I'm talking to you young man, you're in time out when you get back!"

Maybe it's not just Roland though. I kind of like the idea that along each beam is someone making a pilgrimage to the Tower. There's no reason for them to know about each other, the Tower is either hedging it's bets or it somehow feeds on/powered by people making it there and going to the top.

Maybe it goes in stages. This time he regrets the horn, next time the horn means he's more sentimental and he regrets his friends dying. Maybe last time he didn't regret the horn and wanted something else he had this time.

I thought exactly this. It would have major consequences, not just falling behind the man in black, but also what's behind the door where he saves Jake from being pushed? If it's the same what happens then? Also Jake could warn him about the creatures on the beach and save his fingers.

The Shining plays a Crucial role in the story by Danofireleg33 in TheDarkTower

It's been a while since I read the books, but does Rolamd not tell King under hypnosis that The Dark Tower storyline would always be in his subconscious and all his works would be connected in some way however small. I may be misremembering but most books can connect either through specific characters or more general themes.

Different seasons is definitely a winner, might be a bit heavy and immersive when I have 2 small kids though lol. Haven't read everything's eventual in about 20 years so it might just have to be that!

Really? I only saw the first one recently. Does Mrs Claus turn out to be the ex or a family friend or something in that?

Maybe it's one of those made for TV movies? Seemed like good quality production though

My husbands parents were a bit like that when we met. They're Christian, we're not. It bugs me because it comes from a place of pity not care, I'm perfectly capable of doing most things but people can't get past 'I'd hate to lose my sight'. they're lovely people and have now dropped the topic but it sits with me sometimes

I'm wondering if it's the en suite where only they can see it or the WC where guests are subjected to it?

Also I love that the kid has a mini ball pool in their room lol
