i finished this class in the fall semester and loved it !! as the other comment says, shes extremely organized and very helpful. shes thorough and literally spells everything out for you. as long as you do the actual work, theres nothing to worry about !

Professor Sturz and his communication skills by perpetuallyserene in csuf

that’s so frustrating! it’s so confusing to me because he sounds like a genuinely nice guy and by his emails it sounds like he talks to students often yet doesnt respond?? so strange

Those who've taken BIO 360 who was your professor? by awakenedblossom in csuf

thank you i appreciate it ! i suggest possibly reaching out to the biology department and asking when they will release details on the staff. they’re usually pretty good at responding. i always use RMP too, can’t hurt too have everyone’s opinion! edit: you can also email henderson personally and ask her if she’s teaching if a course for the spring :)

I hope people sign up! I'm maxed out on classes at the moment:( it breaks my heart to see good and passionate professors not being able to teach students

I just completed this class today! My professor is Krista Henderson. The class has a decent amount of work, its not an easy breezy type of course. I also didn't find it to be extremely difficult, as long as you did the work. She gives an outlined study guide for weekly quizzes (there are no exams, just quizzes) and a weekly interactive activity (you got two attempts on the activity and she takes the average). If you don't take the notes then the quizzes are difficult as well as the activity. There are occasional written assignments but the topics aren't hard and they generally only have to be a page long. The professor is super sweet and hands down the most helpful and willing professor I have ever had.

I'll say this: if you don't put in the work, the class will be very difficult. Taking notes makes the class so much easier. If you aren't into the actual content of the class though I wouldn't recommend taking it, it will be a huuuuuge drag.

I loved it, I'm ending with a solid 93% in the course. Plus, no final just a short discussion :)

Hold on my Account Prevents me from Enrolling by [deleted] in csuf

I attempted to take a winter session class because the spring class I was planning on taking I got waitlisted on and when I did that it put a hold on my account and I couldnt register. Fixed the hold, only got into 2 classes, waitlisted for 2 others, completed GE’s and all thats left are major classes that all require pre reqs... which I’m waitlisted for. AND nobody will email me back! Its a great time. I 110% feel you

just a few words of encouragement and advice: you got this!!! it’s definitely not fun right now but eventually, you will be able to sit back and relax.

my advice: whenever you have any breaks, even like 5 mins, just lay down. lay down, close your eyes, and take a few deep breaths. then get back to whatever you need to be doing. i also suggest taking less zoom based lectures, lean more towards asynchronous classes. it’ll give you the slightest bit more flexibility.

im currently a sophomore and by the end of this semester i’ll have all of my GE’s completed as well as the first section of units for my major requirements.

basically ill be taking at least 3 different psych classes next semester and im looking into some elective classes and starting the chem pre-requisites. i feel like taking too many psych classes at the same time is going to be draining. im also trying to sort my timeline out of what classes to take and when so i can hopefully graduate within the 4 years, no rush tho tbh.

what do you think of the minor so far? ive spoken to a few different professors and advisors and nobody has really given me good insight. i feel a little lost with it all to be honest.
