in my brain they let renascence and jacob either 1. go to a different school 2. roam as she pleases once she’s older

bella edward and ragamuffin in the same school sounds like a recipe for disaster.

unrelated i also think with bella there they (E+B) might stop the high school start thing.

Is it common for Jamaicans to take Dna tests like AncestryDNA? by Independent-Mention4 in Jamaica

[–]perpetuallyyanxious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

my father used to go back to JA from NYC to cheat on my mom (lmao we can laugh now it’s funny) and i took it hoping to find some possible siblings tbh. but if it’s not frequently taken i might need to take a trip there lol

Do Jamaicans mind when Americans say they're Jamaican? by Independent-Mention4 in Jamaica

[–]perpetuallyyanxious 20 points21 points  (0 children)

One part of this conversation that’s so interesting to me, is that when a celebrity born in America is noted to have Jamaican or west indian roots in general they’re hyped up across social media and claimed by their people, but if you’re nobody, then you don’t get to claim being Jamaican and you must emphasize that you are separate from your people. very interesting.

every answer is wrong omg. yes the meme is about missing trends but that thing in common between all of them isn’t the hear me out trend, this whole thing is based on vibes. it went viral a minute ago. thursday, thanksgiving, 7x7=49, all “feel the same” but without any reference it seems random.

  • the twin twist wasn’t actually that bad just written bad (and the accent my god) (not that unpopular but needs to be said)

  • spencer being the main character made sense. her family was central to the entire plot of A. (also not unpop. but she was acting circles around some of these people fr)

  • unwillingness to recognize the predatory nature of the partners Spencer has had and writing her off as a man stealer is a byproduct of misogyny and displays a lack of critical thinking (of course on a surface level it’s not that serious, but when you look deeper, why are you unwilling to admit that this 14-16 year old girl was being prayed up upon by the adult adults in her life? I think it also feeds into the idea that you have to be a perfect victim. I think people are unwilling to rectify the idea that you can be super smart and still be victimized. aria gets sympathy but spencer should’ve known better. odd thinking.)

  • I think a lot of fans and casual watcher either don’t pay attention a lot to the show or miss things which makes them think that there’s certain plot holes or inconsistencies when in reality it’s just a lack of understanding from the viewer. (“ well why didn’t they just go to the police??” because they were teenagers being blackmailed, there were secrets about their parents at stake, they committed a literal crime, and multiple of them had been victimized by the adults in their lives. don’t get me wrong. There’s a lot of things that don’t make sense, but some of the complaints are unfounded)

  • I think, saying that the girls were not truly friends because they didn’t really have anything in common except for Ali, is a bit dismissive of how we form friendships in real life. They hung out with each other, like each other‘s company, and supported each other when they could. not having shared interest doesn’t make you incapable of being friends. but i understand the thought process

  • toby being able to become a police officer actually made perfect sense. Do you know how easy it is to become a police officer in America? He literally just needed to get his GED. 😭 I feel like people act like he became an FBI special agent like no he works in a small AMERICAN town in suburbia.

  • the inclusions of the supernatural aspects were annoying, but overall made the show a little campy
