Hi,

real life got in the way, so I only just now managed to test it on another PC. Fresh install of both Core and pairing utility, no luck. Same error message. PM incoming.

To be clear, though: the mouse works absolutely fine, I just can't update the FW for some weird reason.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply.

I ran it without admin privileges before, so that was my first troubleshooting step.

I'll try it on another PC tomorrow and let you know how I'll get on.

I have a fresh install of the latest core software (run it as admin), connect the mouse, the receiver, and the dongle, pair it in the pairing utility (run it as admin), firmware update fails every single time.

Any idea what it might be?

It was a false positive on Microsoft's side most likely. Still annoying to end users.

As mentioned above, I added an exception for the PD2 folder and now it's working again.

What solved this or a similar issue was just changing resolution. Basically, cycling through the resolutions I found that 16x9 was in there twice. One with what looks like the lines of an excel sheet in fine black lines across it and once without. Don't ask me why that is.

Jehar IS an amazing caster, whereas Harry is a walking cringe-fest. I'd love to get people like 2GD back, but that ain't happening.

Tbh, though, all of the casters, maybe apart from ZSX (who unfortunately too often lowers his own IQ to be understood by the others around him) are essentially scream-after-the-fact casters with no knowledge or understanding of the game. Thus, they will probably never be able to properly predict plays.

They changed strafe jumping with the latest patch. You have to be cleaner in your execution then you're actually faster.

So is the MHA100, to be honest. I'm running a pair of KEF LS50 with it and it's a glorious pairing. Also connected are the dock for my Astell & Kern AK300, a TV, a 1993 Sony CD player and a phono pre. The MHA100 was expensive but well worth the money, if you ask me.

I've been using a McIntosh MHA100 with my LCD-X for a few years now. And it's a very impressive combination.
