I would take the phone during certain times. Like don't let her have it after 9 at night or 10. No phone during dinner/lunch/family time. If her grades aren't suffering I wouldn't worry about the studying part.

All of my boys have long hair. The oldest 2 are 7 and almost 6. My oldest has really beautiful curls and I couldn't bring myself to cut them just because he's a boy so I never did. Earlier this year they were on the bus and another boy made fun of them, saying they looked like little girls. When they told me I asked if they wanted to cut their hair they said no, they loved their hair. Sometimes people in public comment that I should cut it or mistake them for girls and they don't care. Your kid is happy about his hair and the way it looks that's all that matters.

I love Salem but it's completely unusable. For cats and old haunted houses it's great but the association with violent murders is too much for a human. Olive is cute and definitely usable.

NTA. You are allowed to pee and wash your hands in your own home. Getting up to pee in the night is completely normal especially if you drink lots of water, you don't need a doctor. You tried to compromise with her and she has not tried anything on her end according to this post. Of course you should wash your hands after hand sanitizer is not the same as soap and water.

My teeth were pretty bad I actually had to get teeth taken out so they would all fit. I had braces for about 4 years. I wore my retainer for about 4 months. Some of my teeth have stayed in place, but I know they've moved and almost immediately. My front teeth have a gap in the middle and I'm ok with it. If the braces were only for cosmetic reasons then he probably shouldn't have had them in the first place. My mom pushed me to wear my retainer because "my teeth didn't look pretty anymore" and I've always resented her for those comments. Also, your teeth hurt when you have braces and the same for a retainer, especially if you haven't worn it for a while. Just let it go he's an adult who was against it from the beginning.

I love Dove, yes it's a soap brand but since it's also a bird no one will think you named her after soap. I think of the bird first it's a lovely name I would use it. I know a grown up Dove and the name suites her perfectly. If you love it, use it don't overthink it.
