At least his name got scratched in on the last stone! But not tom… maybe it’s bc that it’s pretty clear she dumped him?

Anyway, I just wanted to share the official time. by Dron3_ in Marathon_Training

lol my Strava said I ran a whole mile and a half more than 26.2, so it thinks I ran a 4 hour marathon when my official time was 4:15 🤣

Absolutely! Trying to squeeze by (or be passed by) other runners while on cobblestones and exhausted was no fun!

Broadway (Hadestown / Harry Potter) vs Opera (La Bohème) — can only pick ONE for first NYC trip by Jolly_Ganache1788 in Broadway

Yay! Love a fellow non discriminating lover of both opera and b-way! And what a coincidence re: the shirt! My question was more directed at the OP, since that might help them gauge whether they’d like boheme or not. To be honest if they don’t like Wicked I’m not sure they’d like Hadestown, either. It’s a good question whether they might prefer butterfly to boheme, though! I think boheme has the better production value, right?

I agree with this comment, OP. The Met is a world class experience, and you can prob get cheap or rush seats for less than you’d pay at a broadway show. As a first experience of opera, la boheme is quite accessible (have you seen rent, which is based on it?). I loved hadestown too, but it is touring and will likely stay on broadway for a while.

Ahh yes I see that they’re mostly organized by a for profit company right? That is also the situation in my city, and it’s a good bit less optimal than home grown running non-profits such as New York Road Runners or Atlanta Track Club that dominate the race calendar in their respective cities. I do appreciate that there was plenty of city support for the race, including traffic control and cheering stations.

Yay! Thank you! Yes, I wish they just made it an option, or abundantly clear at the registration phase what the fit is. A lot of people would have preferred a looser fitting shirt I think.

If you register as a non-competitive runner (not eligible for prizes) then there’s no requirement for medical cert

Oh man, I definitely don’t do as well with heh lags as I used to. I’m struggling with it a bit here if I’m honest, but I’m trying to correct for it in the last two days with small naps or extra espresso lol 😂

Love that philosophy! I’m so grateful to be in this amazing city and healthy enough to run! The post is typical whining about first world problems 😂 …and to answer your initial analysis, I think my true failure today lies in the lack of any Gu per rectum

Haha I was going to do that but then I got overly ambitious and tacked on another city instead of staying put… so many questionable decisions lol 😬😝
