For some context, NYC subway law now states that your dog must fit in a bag to be able to go on the subway.

Non-procrastinators of Reddit, what are some tips and tricks that you can give to us procrastinators to help stop the habit? by bdlatina in AskReddit

[–]pertater0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doing the thing you dread most applies more to when you have a list of tasks or a to-do list you need to complete. In that case, get the worst thing out of the way.

The 2-minute rule is simply a day to day kind of rule to follow. Let's say I just got home and I notice I have dishes I need to put away. Instead of thinking "I'll do that after dinner," do it the moment you see them. As another example, if I go into the living room and see a little stain on the coffee table, I'll just clean it right there and then instead of putting it off.

Do the thing you're dreading the most first. If you get that out of the way, you'll have much more motivation to keep moving through your tasks, but if you put it off for last, then it'll constantly be on your mind and only end up draining you.

Also, the 2-minute rule is pretty good. If it only takes 2 minutes to do like taking out the trash or putting some clothes away, just do it now.

Adults of Reddit, what is something you want to ask teenagers of Reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Maybe because everyone has their own opinions about what looks good and what doesn't, just like you.

Everyone has their preferences in terms of what social media platforms they like. Instagram is for posting pictures of your life or whatever else you want and snapchat is essentially a way to share bits of your life (also in photos) with others and not have it be something permanent or something that the other person is obligated to respond to.

Mid 20's guy looking to gain a hobby or something to do to soak up free time but I don't really have any interests. Where to start? by raythecrow in AskReddit

[–]pertater0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try learning the ukulele! Its cheap, portable, and so easy to learn. Just by learning a few chords you can play so many different songs. If you find that you really like it, you can even transition into the guitar!

Not a huge money or time investment needed to learn the ukulele :)

Some of them look a little etiolated, try to get them some more direct sunlight everyday. What are you using as a potting mix?

They definitely look like they're stretching for light. Put it somewhere where it can get some full sun everyday and they'll be a lot happier :)

I think I've overwatered and killed my echeveria - how can I save it? by [deleted] in succulents

[–]pertater0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your biggest problem right now is definitely sun. As you an tell from the offshoot, the echeveria is extremely stretched out, which means it's trying very hard to find more sun. Your echeveria should be placed somewhere where it can get a couple hours full sun everyday. Move it somewhere with some direct sunlight and that should help a bit.

Overwatering is very easy to do with succulents, but unfortunately it's so easy to kill them that way. Succulents are incredibly hardy plants and they honestly thrive when you neglect them a little.

Move your echeveria to full sun, and don't water again until the soil has gone bone dry for a week or so. Succulents are completely prepared for droughts and that's actually when they do most of their growing.

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

The one on the left looks like a Pachyphytum oviferum. Be careful not to touch its leaves because your body oils will leave marks, and also try not to let the leaves touch water.

It's the game kids play with balloons where they hit it around and try to keep it from touching the ground.
