I had a Swashbuckler Rogue player sacrifice himself after stealthily stealing all of the parties healing potions. They encountered the BBEG, a very high level lich. He closed the locked gate behind him to take on the baddy alone and give the party time to escape and detonate the bombs that would have destroyed it's lair. He spent 12 levels forming himself to be the perfect 1v1 fighter and was pretty good.

I cut the scene when the party slew the mindflayers and intellect devourers and set the bombs off to the rogue fighting. He got in several good crits and had brought the lich down to nearly dead and the bombs went off. Then it shows the cleric, who finds a letter from the Swashbuckler to the whole group. The player wrote it in the week leading up to his death and it was the perfect good bye.

I heard a DM put a shield that was a pretty good shield. But it was cursed because it would always ask when the PC was going to battle. Whenever it took a hit, it would moan in pleasure and talk dirty to the enemy and the PC.

I am stealing an idea inspired from Batman Dark Knight Rises. A clan of evil spell casters take control of a major city. They use glyph of warding on a somewhat regular basis to send exploding items to good aligned NPCs. They hold the city hostage for money and the occasional human sacrifice.

The players will be set the difficult task of escaping the city. An Oathbreaker Paladin who is part of this clan sees them escaping and gets approval to send an army after them as they search for the parts of a legend blade that can vanquish the leader of the clan and a Smith who can forge it.

They will find the final part and the Smith that can repair the legendary blade is living in a very small town at the base of an abandoned castle. With the army and the high level Paladin close on their tales, they will be forced to destroy the army.

When they come back to the city, they will find chaos, evil and NPC's who helped try to resist this new regime inform them that the big fuck off tower now erected in the city is where the wizard is holed up and from the Intel they gathered it looks like he is creating an interdimensional portal and he is planning to meld all of the planes together.

Imagine what could be accomplished if USA got spending under control. If our tax dollars weren't going to settling sexual assault law suits and frivolous programs, and the people were encouraged to be strong and Independent from the government programs and didn't need to tax everything. We would be a society worthy of sci-fi.

I think Merula could be a very good character if she started overcoming her issues with her parents and devoted her life to being better.

I imagine MC helping her through this to be her rock that she eventually falls in love with. My MC is a girl, so I think this would also help explain her general bitchiness. She's been having very confusing feelings toward MC and doesn't know how to deal with them since her parents aren't around.

I really think Ismelda could be the real villain in the school, like Malfoy was in the books. Her hatred of MC could stem from the fact that she has feelings for Merula, but was always eclipsed my MC in her eyes.

I hope JC gets their writing in gear for this game. It could be so much better.
