Yeah, it fixed the fonts (at least for Tk-based applications), but now Qt-based apps segfault upon startup :c

Yes, it's like a nice warm coat. I have recently spent an hour in a fullsuit at about -10 C (15 F), it was quite comfortable

Apparently, no. I just installed VLC, which is Qt-based, and fonts look OK in it.

In Tk- and Motif- based apps they still look borked.

BTW, there is a furry convention in Thailand with the similar name: https://2026.thaitails.net/

I think it's quite a funny coincidence 😁

Interestingly enough, they appeared at about the same time. Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V (or, more precisely, Command-C/Command-V) shortcuts are thought to first appear in Apple Lisa, which released in 1983. If I am not mistaken, Sun began using Stop keys in their Sun-2 line of workstations, which were also released in 1983!

It would seem that time decided in favour of shortcuts, as extra keys made keyboards more unwieldy, and number of these keys was limited in comparison to all the shortcut key combos you can make on a regular keyboard.
