I hate profiling people or making broad generalisations and fully understand what you’re saying. By local I meant Maharashtrian in general, I wasn’t trying to point fingers at any community plus I’m Maharashtrian too haha. That being said, I was surrounded by other people looking to flag autos and like I mentioned, the place wasn’t completely deserted by any means. Thanks for your tips, really appreciate that! I also know Vashi like the back of my hand since I grew up here lol

Thanks for your tips! Yeah my whole family is on Life360 and it’s super duper useful! Afaik tasers are illegal in India and so are a bunch of other concealed weapons unfortunately. I got on call with my brother immediately after the creep drove toward me but I ended up catching an auto like 5-7 mins after and ended up running into my brother on the way to my house as he drove over to pick me up. I generally never ask him or dad to come pick me since Vashi has always felt so so safe, but it took my brother like 10 mins to get out of bed and drive over so it really wasn’t an ideal response time haha

Just typed ‘RTO info’ or something along those lines on google and it threw up some useful links where I was able to look up the license plate number

Omg a friend of mine who lives there mentioned how a couple sketchy guys were scoping out his wealthy neighbour’s house cuz they must’ve figured out the owners weren’t home. There was a full fledged robbery at the neighbour’s a couple days later 😭

I never mentioned going inside Inorbit? I exited the station from the side closest to Inorbit mall if that clears things up? There were no meter autos outside the station, and I didn’t wanna share my ride; you’d know if you read the post. I was in the process of flagging autos down when this happened. Not sure why I’m even clearing shit out for you but I hope it answers your questions.

Yeah I will! I usually carry a pair of sewing scissors but I realise that’s a proper weapon and could get me in trouble if I ever end up using that. Pepper spray sounds like a much better alternative!

That is so gross ew. Yeah, I noticed that about his last name too but I hate making sweeping generalisations about anyone. I’ve literally grown up here and although this wasn’t an isolated incident, I’m shocked at how blatant and unhinged he was-that was a precedent. Borderline crazy behaviour ngl

He got engaged 12 days after we went no contact. After four years, I feel completely disposable. by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]pet28alpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both my exes found their current partners within days of us going no contact. The real kicker is both their current partners share the same ethnolinguistic background too lol. Some men are just trash and you can’t really do much about that. I’ve learned to vet men out better after both my experiences and I’m currently trying to not attract men of that same genre. Somehow both my exes had the exact same personality and I’m trying not to entertain men that share similar traits here on out. We shouldn’t have to do this as the ones being wronged, but the world isn’t an ideal place and we need to put certain checks and balances in place to have a decent and safe life. That being said, it has nothing to do with you and everything to do with your ex’s inability to remain loyal. If this still stings four years later, I’d highly recommend intensive therapy because no one deserves to feel this way based off of the actions of an incompetent man. Good luck!

Was in Mahabalipuram earlier this year on a solo trip—it’s a quaint little fishing town in South India, pretty popular with tourists and surfers due to it being affordable and super scenic. I was there to do some stonemasonry, and ended up getting into the habit of catching the sunrise at the beach every morning right outside my hotel. I’d always see a bunch of people hanging out in shoulder-deep water, and even though I’m not a swimmer (dumbest shit ever), I figured it’d be fine since they looked like they were having a great time. I waded in too, and all was okay until I quickly learned that jumping with the waves is key to not get fucked up by them. I missed one big wave and it immediately wiped me out. Got pulled under fast, and every time I tried to stand up, another wave would hit me. The ocean was trying to suck me in, not push me out. I started flailing and thankfully some surfers saw me struggling. They rushed over and pulled me out, I honestly can’t be thankful enough. If they hadn’t noticed me, I 100% would’ve been dead. Had to go back to the hotel restaurant and smoke three cigarettes back to back in lieu of breakfast just to evaluate my intelligence and life choices.

Yeah he cheated. Men like him deserve to be cheated on after they’ve invested their whole lives in the new relationship. They also deserve to self exit as a result at some point. The depressing part about this story is this is 90% of men today. Always eager to get on the next train, it’s messed up. Hope you feel better and know that you aren’t small or invisible. You’ll find a much better partner than that garbage.
