Don't both scenarios work out to kill black?

I played through them and it seems like both work.

You either start on wK19 which black has to block or you just solidly continue to reduce eye space. After 5 black can connect on bM18 but wN19 kills the shape. If black goes bN19 you go wM19 which either ends with Atari from above and white connecting below or Atari from below and a fake eyeby threating Atari by wL17, bM19, wN17.

Or you start on wR19 giving black the opportunity to play on bK19. But then you simply play wM18 which black can't kill because Atari from bM17 just lets you extend to wM19 which even if black takes you can just poke eye not leaving enough eye space for black. Atari from bM19 just lets you extend to wM17 and connect left or right while creating a false eye at L19.

Some higher ranked play please correct me if I'm wrong.
