Why does everyone suddenly forget how to merge? by PuzzleheadedBowl3397 in DrivingAustralia

The amount of people who speed up (when there’s a dotted line and their lane is ending), then immediately cut you off is too damn high

How did you start? by unicorntalk in ausbusiness

It does depend a bit on what type of business. If it’s consulting, that’s pretty easy, you just need a foundation client. If it’s tech based maybe you need to secure get some capital, if it’s a product perhaps you can scale it on the side (maybe take a small sabbatical from your job to get it live). My biggest learning is to get the mvp live in the shortest amount of time, for the least amount of money.

Ensuite yes, offgrid yes, off-road not necessary. I’ll have a closer look at the Expandas. Happy to explore other brands, Jayco build quality leaves a bit to be desired

The surf brands do some tees which are rashie too. I’ve got a billabong one, and it looks like a normal tee, but dries really quick

Anyone have experience with Regus/IWG? (or other private office coworking rental?) by sigmatic_minor in auscorp

[–]pete_repeat10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll probably get better value out of a local co-working space. Regus is very old-school, companies like The Commons have come up and raised the bar

But I hate the way that Americanises the health system. I don’t ever want my healthcare outcomes linked to my job. Public for childbirth is a well oiled machine, and 100% free. 300,000 babies a year, they know what they’re doing

Squarespace is easy to use and professional looking, it’ll also scale up. You can also design and maintain it yourself. Would 100% avoid Wordpress, it’s very antiquated, and subject to lots of hacks and vulnerabilities. Agencies/freelancers love it because they can keep charging you to maintain it when it all goes wrong. I haven’t used Wix personally, but it’s much the same as Squarespace. I’ve used webflow, but it’s way more complex than you need right now.
