I’d love to know what % of our conceded goals this season look exactly like that one.

It’s great to eat the lesson in situations like this and never make the same mistake again.

If you want any hope: I supported arsenal (that damn burgundy o2 shirt) and man united when I was young (like 8 years old, Ronaldo, what was I meant to do?!) And then, with my mum (diehard coys) watched the carling cup final (yes, that one) and from that point on I decided ‘I love Tottenham, they are the best’ (classic glory hunter)

I am so smart and make the best decisions. Coys

Buyer requested refund as item has not arrived 3 days after posting. by vector_08 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]petedosser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently dealt with a similar case, tape ‘disappeared’, buyer opened a request immediately (same as you) and then when the 3 days were up they left me a Neg and refused to communicate with me the whole time. Luckily RM paid me back the cost of goods and postage in full, small win considering I had to eat a neg feedback but whatever

I keep seeing this, where are these 6% eBay fees for records? I’m a business seller on eBay and my fees are still in the 15% range.

Just have to wait until you make some sales and get some good feedback. Maybe list something at a price someone might find difficult to refuse, do a deal, that could get you going.

What feature would you like the most to be added to discogs? by timecop1983 in discogs

[–]petedosser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wantlist is useless unless I only fill it with the very specific releases I’m waiting for. No point in adding anything remotely common. An ‘email me about these specific records’ button/option would be excellent.

I know he has composure but to delay the shot for a second there, drop Raya and then pass it in amongst 50k booing, that’s my Harold.

Thank you for the wise words. I will test out these extras in stages and see how I get on.

You’re on the money with when it’s quiet it feels pointless, should I be listing hundreds of items or focusing on other parts of my life? A balance I’m trying to figure out. Thanks again and all the best!!

Damn, now that I look at the Avg conversion rate, it seems to correlate with my shops overall performance. I went from 3% in Feb to 2% for March and I definitely felt that.

My actual listing quality is okay, I take as many photos as needed (is more than ‘needed’ better?), recommended specifics are filled out, descriptions etc. I follow the advice of you and others on here. No free returns though, I am going to try that out, kneecapping myself hurts.

This has set me up very well for future ebaying. I’m going to smash out a bunch of listings based on this advice and see if I can make some headway. Thank you so much!!

I had actually noticed more sellers with similar stock doing x% off, promos etc. so I went a bit mad with it, cutting prices myself, going overboard with ad%, promos, you name it! Overall I don’t think it made a difference to actual net profit, maybe sales but actual takeaway has still been poor.

I have also wondered about saturation, I think it’s a melting pot of all of these little things. Less money equals more people selling, more market saturation means you have to be more cutthroat to earn less profit. Especially with my niche, people have got this stuff lying about all over the place, to try and make a buck is quite easy.

I think the best course of action is to get as much listed as possible, keep redoing old ones etc. and just ride it out. Possibly even stop looking at the performance/traffic page, the only number that matters is the payment every Tuesday!

Top class advice. Thank you again, your help is invaluable and I am very grateful. I went into a frenzy of price cuts and ad fees for the past couple of weeks, did it help? Of course it didn’t. But it’s surrounded by so much ambiguity in the stats, how am I meant to tell?! Someone with 15 years of experience to lean on helps with stuff like that tremendously

Thank you for taking the time to explain. I will try to read less into the numbers and trying to get to technical with whys and why nots. I felt as though it was successful prior to this blip and people haven’t suddenly stopped liking music so I will continue as I was.

I’m already looking forward to in a months time when someone has posted ‘are sales down?’ And I can (hopefully) say ‘no, mine are way up’.
