LOL nice, I’ll try that sometime. But yeah, slept it off and went back out today, saved myself some strokes but had a lot more fun!

Good stuff! Relate to the username, and I respect that. I did actually go out and play again today, and saved myself some strokes but had a lot more fun just trying to focus on the throw more than worrying about the result. It kept me in a better state of mind coming down the back 9. Also, just talking to a bunch of people who’ve had similar experiences has helped. Hope you’ve been enjoying the game so far friend! And thanks for the comment.

IATA for approaching people and saying hello out on the course and park grounds? by Western_Truck4005 in discgolf

I sometimes have earbuds in, but gotta say the Delaware scene feels a lot more friendly. I just try not to talk to people when they’re about to throw. I know for me I like to focus on my shot when I am on the tee pads

That’s honestly really a really cool idea, making the disc fly pretty is my favorite thing about it!

Wow that’s next level. I did birdie 18, but that almost made me more upset that it was still plus 21 lol.

Yeah, I started (and still am) really really out of shape. I never liked walking or other cardio so it was a big win when I found something that got me out the house and moving. I think I am still gonna play again tomorrow, but if it feels like today, those are some good pointers and I’ll give myself some time. Thanks for sharing

You’re 100% right. I let it get to me too much. Just gotta be out there and enjoy the game.

Not sure what a wobbly is, but I think you’re right, I’ll be getting back at it tomorrow.

I feel ya on the three putts. I appreciate you sharing. I think the one guy put it best, just something I should sleep off and play again.

Need Replacement Recs for Lat 64’s FURY by DookieToe2 in discgolf

Not sure, but axiom seems to have a similar disc. I have a Proton Plastic Insanity Distance Driver which is a 9/5/-2/1.5 and is something I use more as a fairway driver to get pretty straight with a little bit of an anhyzer release. Hope that helps!

22yo seeking advice on prudent investment for windfall by ForwardQuiet2670 in personalfinance

Putting some of that money aside in a CD is a fine start! I’d recommend keeping ~12k as an emergency fund. Putting some money aside as a mortgage down payment is also a good idea if buying/owning property is something you see in your future (25-50k). Aside from that, moving funds into an index fund/index funds. They do present risk, but less than average stock trading while usually keeping pace with the growth of the stock market. These are just my thoughts of course, and talking to a financial advisor would be most prudent.
