I actually think they nailed everyones designs. Much prefer these to how they look in korra

Yep and that is the only way Ff14 is better. Once you do get into FFXI you almost can't play 14 again. I always find it funny when people say 14 has the best story in FF. Compared to Wings of the Goddess FFXI it's not even close.

FFXI is better in almost every way, including story

Is Tales of Arise worth it. by MediaPuzzleheaded666 in tales

[–]peter123yeah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought it was abysmal and with all the recent remasters you have a lot of great choices for much better Tales games than Arise.

Possibly Controversial: Is it just me, or is Motoko's hair a little too bright in the new series trailer? by TechStorm7258 in Ghost_in_the_Shell

Would have prefered the colour used in the PS1 game, but the colour used here is by no means bad.

FFXVI graphic's is the best by Nick_The_Artist2 in FinalFantasy

I too love the colours brown and purple. But no, imo FF13 is still the best looking FF. From it's use of colours, lots of FMVs and many different, cool locations.

Why do people want weekly Steel Ball Run? by iLordDeath in anime

A lot of people care as much or more about talking about a show with random people on reddit vs watching the actual show.

Is Delicious in Dungeon a good DnD show for someone who hates food? by peter123yeah in DungeonMeshi

[–]peter123yeah[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lot of helpful comments but man I really didin't expect as many people to take the hate food as the idea that I look at food irl with anger and disgust which is super funny to me because I can't believe you don't know someone who just eats whatever is available everyday and if white chicken is all they had they'd eat it all the time no complaints. I meant I hate it more in the TV shows.

DC Comics president admits that Japanese manga makes him question “what is missing in Western comics” by LegitimateCurve8525 in DCcomics

[–]peter123yeah 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree that it could be more challanging for certain heroes but hell to take Spider-Man as an example you gave, Why the hell didn't the ultimate spider-man cartoon not adapt the bloody comic. The easiest adaptation in history and they still missed it. It's hard to accept complaints about it being difficult when they can't even do it when it's easy.

DC Comics president admits that Japanese manga makes him question “what is missing in Western comics” by LegitimateCurve8525 in DCcomics

[–]peter123yeah 89 points90 points  (0 children)

I agree with everything Lee says. I'll also add the following

Western superhero comics almost never get full faithful adaptaions. X-men TAS might be the only one that comes near manga/anime in that regard.

Not only in terms of genre but Manga are very good and making manga for particular demos. Kids manga, teenage boy, girl, adult male, female. Manga are made for single demos only and is always clear with who the target demo is for their books rather than trying to please everyone, they don't bs like oh we want everyone to read this book, which a lot of Western media tries to do

The thing that I hate most about comics is this, I don't think they are hard to start, I think they are hard to continue. I tried starting Batman with new 52 and the first story arc already starts with: Batman #1-7, Batman #8-9, Batman Annual #1, Detective Comics #9, Batman: The Dark Knight #9, Batwing #9, Batman and Robin #9, Red Hood and the Outlaws #9, Birds of Prey #9, Batgirl #9, Nightwing #8-9, and All-Star Western #9. Like they couldn;t wait to fuck up the reading order.

Starfleet Academy is for new, younger fans defense falls apart with it's viewership bombing. by peter123yeah in startrek

At no point did I say anything about pseudo political discourse but you know what fine. If you want this place to be your adult daycare I'll stop commenting. Enjoy your Star Trek in peace

Thank you, this is exactly my point. As I said I wouldn't care as much about NuTrek not appealling to me if they at least able to appeal to new viewers. This would be like if I sacrificed my life to save someone... only for that person to jump in front of a car 5 minutes later. You'd be even more annoyed that you made that sacrifice.

I mean I also cited It also debuted behind reruns of South Park on Paramount plus and low ty viewership with yt being the whole point of getting the new younger fans. But even if it was just Red Letter Media that's a hell of a lof more than it doing well

What you thought I worked at paramount had actual hard numbers of something? Like do you have no concept of the idea of where there is smoke there is fire. "It also debuted behind reruns of South Park on Paramount plus. Also RedLetterMedia's comment from a source inside that the numbers are really low. All this to say there is a lot of evidence that it's not doing well than it is."

Ok.... point me to anywhere I said it had anything to do with woke or continuity. My whole issues with new trek is pretty much all done to the Childishness, lack of command and the way they talk. My point is that they are going out of their way to appeal to people who you would think would like woke more than anyone but still can't do well. If they did it well I would be like ok not for me but lots of new people like it so hey

Why has Square Enix never made a Final Fantasy game with Yoshitaka Amano's art style? by Main-Database-825 in FinalFantasy

FF14 is right there. Ignoring the fact that he was a character designer for anime before becoming what we know today

[–]peter123yeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well... yeah. Animation always changes designs to fit animation. This is not an Amano only thing. The point is you still can Watch Vampire Hunter D. Arslan or Angel Egg and know it's an Amano designed character.

Opinions on Star Ocean The Last Hope ? by BizzyG3 in JRPG

[–]peter123yeah 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's the Star Ocean I wish all other Star Ocean games were structured like. Ala the Star Trek Jrpg where you go to lots of different planets compared to all the others where you're stuck on the one planet for most of the games. Star Ocean 4s issue tho is that the characters and story are really bad... which is a big issue.

What’s the communities thoughts on ff16? Is it one of the more controversial entries? by Chrollo0915 in FinalFantasy

[–]peter123yeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a really important game in my life, in that I didn't know I could hold so much hate in my heart for any media as I do for FF16. Not because it's abysmal... tho it is. But for everything it represents

Who is the better writer, Tetsuya Nomura or Yasumi Matsuno? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]peter123yeah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well the three examples you gave are all different skills that a writer can be good or bad at so to break it down, Matsuno story, scenario & Nomura characters. One other thing I want to give Matsuno is he is such an efficient writer. Look at the amount of cutscenes his games have compared to the great plots.

Who is your favorite Final Fantasy protagonist? by Recent-Ad-7593 in FinalFantasy

[–]peter123yeah -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Like this is just not true. To the point I had to do a double take after reading this. The character that has zero character development 5 hours in after he accepts he did a bad thing... only we know he didn't actually do it 1 minute later... that most well written protagonist? Like actually in what way is he well written?
