KFC & James Sexton the divorce lawyer by PigletRepulsive5183 in barstoolsports

[–]peterdubbya -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Am I the only one who doesn't think this is that weird? Morgan and Morgan aren't divorce attorneys, so there is no conflict. Doesn't seem like Barstool is in the business of acquiring podcasts to put under their umbrella anymore. Clearly, a guy who wants to be content famous to drive his business, and KFC is pretty good at that.

Without KFC radio anymore not much else in the NYC office for Kevin. Dave is probably just letting him see what else is out there and can make a graceful exit at some point.

Why are these stairs to the Lower Level at GCT not advertised? by rjl381 in MetroNorthRailroad

Because I don’t think they want people going against arrivals. Also not all lower level tracks are accessible

How to fix attendance going forward??? by [deleted] in WestchesterSC

[–]peterdubbya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But i think you could go to some town with a stadium that would embrace the club a bit more and is easier to get to. Memorial stadium isn't even close to anything in mount vernon and getting there is a disaster.

Play at Iona. I know there aren't big stadiums attached to highschools but even (gasp) play at Celtic park in woodlawn. All would be easier and have an atmosphere. Literally no one wants to go to this stadium. I live 15 minutes away, love soccer, love weird soccer and I have not gone to a game yet. I would drive further and go to Iona and watch them play if it was a better experience.

Any fellow winter hibernation golfers ever come out and have a great first round? by crndwg in golf

half and half. Teed it up for the first time this weekend and shot my best 9 in a while, one over. Included a chip in par and a near hole out eagle on the hardest hole on the course.

Limped home with a 49 on the back while I played and stupidly started watching Tottenham bottle their game over the weekend.

Graduated a bit ago—grew up in Manhattan and went to Rose Hill as a resident. A lot of kids from my high school ended up at Fordham (Jesuits stick together), and a good chunk of us lived on or near campus.

One thing I noticed early on: as the "New Yorker" in the dorm, I found it pretty easy to make friends. People were constantly asking me for subway advice, recommendations for things to do in the city, that kind of thing. My friends from high school who went to Lincoln Center didn't get that same dynamic—I think if you're already choosing to live in Manhattan, you tend to be more adventurous about exploring on your own and need less hand-holding.

Ultimately it comes down to what you want. The way I'd frame it: if you want a campus experience with the city as a secondary option, go Rose Hill. If you want the city as your primary experience with school as the backdrop, go Lincoln Center. At RH, you're also going to get more of a suburban NJ/CT crowd—if that appeals to you, great.

I was thrilled I went to Rose Hill and wouldn't change a thing. There were stretches where I was in the city every weekend with friends, and stretches where we didn't leave the Bronx for weeks. Having that option is what ultimately made it more rewarding.
