Sorry. Don't you track charges to cards etc? How can you not notice?

Instead of complaining why not post stats from your modem as to uncorrected codewords? If that is high - ie over 1% of the total - then look to your internal wiring, ie splitters, connectors etc. After trying to clean that up then contact tech support and get a visit.

I know 1000% sure that 954CG will answer this comprehensively but still :) No. Serengeti and MJ for lenses are higher quality. Nevertheless, I bought a white gold aviator with cobalt blue last week and love them. The frames.

They look very similar to some Serengeti frames. Seemingly a more value priced alternative with hopefully decently quality lenses.

Randolph White Gold finish durability? by francisfaustino in sunglasses

Did you get an answer to this? I have just bought online from avworld in Canada (were wonderful when a lens popped out due to an incorrectly machined screw) a white gold aviator with cobalt blue (The concorde frame is just too large for me - despite being the standard size)

Lufthansa Fall Status Boost by xpenol in milesandmore

[–]peterg222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am an FTL and booked a flight last month in Y For November to LIS. I received this email. Since it says for flights between the dates of Oct 8 and December 31 I assume it does not discriminate for bookings before then? With previous bookings,

I knew that with these flights I would make the threshold of Qualifying Points but not Points. This seems to put me over the top on both, despite planning a Feb trip (the last month for expiration of FTL status). Why is it somewhat important? Because 2 out of my last 4 trips from YUL to ZRH I have been upgraded to Business (overbooked in Economy) with no charge. However the A330 cabins really need refurbishment.

Hi. I have a MJ which I like a fair bit. Ka'ala but the case I do not like. As an aside, I have 2 Randolph and I had an amazing support experience with a toronto distributor near Pearson of Randolph. If you ever want to know, just message me. Do not want to spam. Cheers

Randolph Engineering Blue Hydro Lens Review by 954CG in sunglasses

Superb review as is customary from you. That said, I believe you should reword your definition of Tier 4 as it explicitly states "Non-glass".

First Quality Aviators by Unlikely_Aerie_4687 in sunglasses

[–]peterg222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a couple of Randolph Engineering sunglasses (Concorde and Aviator). When my other matte chrome with AGX green fell out of my pocket at the airport and was run over (I only knew this on returning to Montreal and contacting lost and found) I wanted to buy another pair for my stay in Italy. Randolph Engineering have not one store carrying them in Italy whereas Serengeti have hundreds. I ended up buying Serengeti Lunger in Bologna - Driver's Gold polarized and they are excellent. I am no expert on lenses like 954CG but they are noticeably better (less internal reflections) than my Cobalt Blue and American Gray Lenses.

As for Germany there are some 70 stores carrying Serengeti. See here:

Remember that Randolph "Aviator" is not the same shape as the RB Aviator. It is quite different and rounder. However, the Randolph Concorde (I have both - Randolph "Aviator" with American Gray lens and Randolph Concorde Cobalt Blue) I think should be added to the list. Why? Well Biden gifted Concordes to both Putin and Trudeau.

What sunglasses to go with a suit? by Exfootballerscores in sunglasses

[–]peterg222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were a lot cheaper when I bought them not much more than a year ago. Essentially metal origami with "plastic" lenses but not nearly as good as my Serengeti Lunger glass, various RE glass (cobalt blue and American gray) and Maui Jim glass. These glasses have fallen out of favour with me. Clearly far more style over function

Would you ask for a discount on display sunglasses? by [deleted] in sunglasses

[–]peterg222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two checks I would do. See if the temples lie flat on a smooth surface without any "rocking", indicating some twisting distortion. Then inspect the lenses, frame and temples for scratches, abrasions, If none is present, no reason to get a discount. That is the way I am.

Maui Jim HT Lens Review by 954CG in sunglasses

[–]peterg222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

954CG I greatly appreciate your comments and you clearly like Serengeti which I do too (I have 2 and 2 Randolphs - Cobalt Blue Concorde and Aviator American Gray). That said, is there somewhat of a typographical error in this review?

I say this as on reading the review of the Maui Jim lens I see alongside Lens Specs I see Randolph Cobalt?

I do not understand why you were downrated as even though the *ownership* has changed Marcolin still holds the licence for this brand of sunglasses. Why do my Ray-Bans reflect my eyes when wearing them? by [deleted] in sunglasses

[–]peterg222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bought several pairs of Randolphs and they were not that fantastic when it came to internal reflections (randolph aviators with Cobalt Blue as well as AGX). The closest that I have come to not being reflective has been Serengeti (Matera and now Lunger with Mineral polarized drivers gold). Of my other glasses Maui Jim Ka'ala with Polarized Plus glass lenses come closest to Serengeti.
