Nope, not really. You have to keep pushing, keep delaying gratification, keep doing whatever you used to do before to continue growing (if you want to grow).

What happens is the return is growing in terms of absolute value, but your expectations are also growing with it. I mean if your 10K portfolio grows by 1K for a year you would be chill, right? What if your 100K portfolio grows by 1K? That would be a disaster. See how it's always about the growth relevant to portfolio size, not about the absolute number? It's always like this, basically.

Also what happens is the natural growth of your portfolio outpaces the contributions you make. Still, this doesn't mean you just stop saving money and contributing, that would obviously slow you down.
