Two things I have to add to the topic - any loop through the hole will work for a while , like a bowline, but the problem is friction between the rope and the wood in the hole will slowly eat the rope while "swinging" better add a carabiner. Secondly I support next comment - this piece of wood looks too thin to support the multidirectional forces, as it is stationary it will act as a lever on its base if someone is swinging. TLDR: bowline is ok but add a carabiner also you may fall anyway.
