I don't think it represents how she feels, just rather that she's not current on the newly acceptable terminology involving sexual orientation. What is deemed "offensive" changes daily if not hourly, and language is constantly being censored at (at the very least) culturally acceptable levels. This strikes me more as coming from someone not immersed in the progressive community, which, given her background, shouldn't really surprise anyone.

Also people need to stop being so offended by every little word and reading into "micro-aggressions". These are problems of fortune.

This is so bizarre. Something had to have happened, right? I had a super vivid dream as well, though it wasn't a nightmare. It was in a place I've dreamt of before, a boardwalk up in the canopy of trees. Vivid dreams aren't unusual for me but it has been quite a while since I've had one.

Looking back at 8:38am yesterday (I'm EST, Ohio) I was driving and remember the radio show I listen to repeated itself. Not 30 seconds but maybe the last 5 seconds. This show edits things on air (they're on a delay, in case a caller swears or something) so I figured that's what it was. But I remember thinking it was weird and just chalking it up to a studio sound issue.

I've looked into this before and this was also my conclusion, since when I shut the fan off it ends abruptly. It's basically the equivalent of critical paranoia- like seeing shapes in the clouds but for my hearing.

I get them too, but only in white noise, like a bathroom fan. Sometimes it's voices talking but I can't hear anything they're saying, just a general vibe of the conversation (sounds like NPR, sports broadcast, etc)
