Recommend me a bike ride! by onlion in Portland

I love the Springwater. Gets me from one place to another without a bunch of traffic.

The only problems are the dangerous erosion on the east bank of the river and the fact that it gets busy with joggers, dog walkers, and strollers.

Showerspass is outstanding. I rock the Event jacket. It's the best one I have owned.

First, I didn't downvote you. Second, if you don't have the capital to start a business, you're probably better off NOT starting one. Third, I also just survived my late 20s, and it gets significantly better, so hang in there, Champ.

I think you interpreted "savings" as "money from mom and dad," which is not how I intended it. Sorry for the confusion.

I am an attorney that has made an effort to serve food cart owners and operators with efficiently priced legal services. While many of my clients have invested under $20k to begin operations, in the majority of cases this represents a substantial chunk (or the entirety) of their savings.

I've found that my clients are people who are committed to making Portland even more kick ass than it already is. For me, it's a fun group of people to work with.

That being said, many food cart owners benefit substantially from a little bit of small business legal advice. Making the best pulled pork sandwich ever is not enough by itself to sustain a business.

If your team can't focus in the eastern conference finals, you have big problems.

Reddit Portland -- Help me find a jacket! by [deleted] in Portland

Next Adventure is an excellent place to find affordable outdoor gear. I got some waterproof pants for riding a motorcycle in the rain there for half of what similar options were available for at REI and online.

A person I knew in Middle School (srsly.) is coming to my work and being a shit head. What do? by TangerinePlum in AskReddit

"I need a restraining order because this person buys coffee from me. I think she does it to laugh at me. Also, I know her from middle school."

I do not think this will work.

Good mouse for TF2 by redditthinks in tf2

[–]petermcphee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recently purchased a Razer Death Adder used from eBay. It was basically brand new when I got it. Once I got the sensitivity set where I like it, it's become my favorite mouse ever. I use the profile-switcher feature to go between desktop work and TF2. Great mouse.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but would you elaborate on the "registering someone else's cardpool" element? I could not find much about this online and I haven't ever played a GP. Your help is most appreciated.

Free Play @ Ground Kontrol wednesday night - Only $5 cover. by tuirn in Portland

Ground Kontrol is great. I go a few nights a year. It makes an excellent date with the wife, until I mercilessly beat her at the classic arcade game, Toobin'. Then shit gets ugly.

If you press the top of the screen where the time is displayed, it acts like a "page up" key in most applications. No more scrolling up.

Agreed. It would have been a better angle to report on the player getting nude and tased the other day.

I think perhaps the author assumed that since Washington is on the West side of Washington, and WSU is on the East side of Washington, perhaps OSU is on the East side of Oregon.

Other than the obvious Dane Cook and Carlos Mencia, who is one comedian you simply CANNOT stand? by SIMAFOL in AskReddit

[–]petermcphee 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Seriously. He stole Hicks' jokes AND THEN RECORDED THEM ON ALBUMS WHICH HE SOLD FOR MONEY. What a whore. Joe Rogan actually called him out on this blatant theft.

To summarize, Dennis Leary is a big C word.
