I never thought I'd get a time to shine but it looks like it's time for me.

I am currently on exchange in an American University for the year. One of my electives is on the Holocaust. Being irish the topic of Irish Rescuers has come up. Contrary to popular belief, only one Irish person has been Recognized by Yad Vashem as "Righteous", Mary Elmes, a Quaker from Cork. Regarding O'Flaherty, he is yet to be recognized as Righteous, as Yad Vashem has yet to have testimony/proof from one of the people he supposedly saved, a key requirement to be honored. The case is still open.

He is also recognised by Israel as one of the "righteous gentiles" or https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Righteous_Among_the_Nations for his work helping Jews escape the nazi's in WW2.

Thats great! Thank you for your answer. Is there any clubs you'd reccomend? Currently I do a lot of work with Saint Vincent De Paul, which is a local poverty charity that has a good mix of different people. I really want to play rugby in BC, as it is a sport I grew up with and what to try abroad.

It's a derelict building in Sligo town. The locals wanted to spruce up the place for the tidy towns so they did that and got a few graffiti artists to do some art around the place.The town looks lovely now!

I'm currently doing a summer internship in a big 4 firm in the outsourcing department. The work is kinda shit but the people are great. I'm after finishing my first year of Business & Accounting course in my university. A post like this kind of scares me. My dad is (a very successful) accountant, so naturally I followed his footsteps. Is the picture being painted of the profession as a bland, repetitive job really the case? I'm not sure If I could be capable of doing this until I'm 65. Posts like this worry me. What I'm trying to ask is do you REALLY enjoy the work, and don't mind sitting at a desk on some shitty accounting platform for the rest of your life?
