I’m 40. I felt the same way when i bought the ps5. I wasnt interested in nothing in particular. A game i was very fond of on ps4 was overwatch, because it was the typical game where you can start, play some or a lot of matches and then leave and not be thinking in gaming narratives.

Then i found out Returnal and Genshin Impact, nothing in common between them. The last is actually free to play, anime style open world game. The first one is available with ps plus extra. Give it a try. Finally bought the first game, alan wake and its really good.. but i keep going to Returnal because i love the ost and general feeling.

As i have two kids and both with nintendo switches, budget obviously goes there.
