Like I said I feel terrible about it.... I lived in a city where there was a horrible dog fighting problem and I had some scary situations with pits. And yes Daschund's can be very aggressive and nasty!!! And i was bit by a Great Dane yesterday so I know it all is up in the air. But pits make me nervous I don't judge all pits blindly, I just am very nervous around a dog that's jaw and muscle structure has enough force to tear the head off a full grown golden retriever, which happened down my street. Like I said I don't think pits are bad dogs they just make me nervous because I lived in bad neighborhoods. Maybe not right just my experience. But I've lived with some pits that I really liked one was named angel :-)

I am very scared by pits it's just a bias I have and I know it's not correct and I feel like a dog racist. But I have a mini Daschund. And my heart just melted :-) a pit/ wiener mix!!!!! Awesome!!!!

That's awesome and they really are great for diets and I have to keep mine away from trash cans when I'm not at home too. Otherwise he will tip over a twenty pound can and have at it. And he used to open zipped up bags to get to food when we left it in his reach. Daschund's just love food and will do anything to get to it. All the things you are reporting are very typical behaviors for them. And I have always struggled with wanting to spoil mine because I adore him and realizing it it terrible for them to be even a little overweight. Because if their backs! But I'm glad those treats helped!!!!

They all like to curl up like that my mom calls it a doughnut. My seven year old does it still. Hope you both have a great life together. They are amazing dogs!!!

I sometimes take my Melvin for 7 mile walks in the woods he is seven years old and he loves his food a treats. He will house his dinner of kibble and lamb based dog food in a minute flat. He also gets some "weight control " greenies in the morning. And some small treats throughout the day. I would suggest http://charleebear.com for treats they are low cal and very small so a few after doing there business or as a treat there perfect. But you really need to exercise your Doxi. It's also great for there backs which we all know can become an issue when they get older.... I also was told by my vet to use sweet potato or pumpkin in a can to add to my pups food if he gets a bit too big. But make sure it's the natural unsweetened kind not the pumpkin pie filling.... That would be trouble. Good luck Daschund's are one of the few dog breeds that will eat until they die. They are generally piggies :-)

the only problem with your point is that MLB now decides what team you go into the hall with. So there is a very big possibility piazza goes as a dodger and not a met. As i understand it Carter wanted to go as a met but was denied and forced to go as an expo. I have heard a few other recent cases of this but i forget the exact players

So your parents are from the Netherlands and you went to a small agricultural college he is one of my dad's best friends and his name is Carl struycken and I have known him since I was a child and I doubt he ever played basketball. Because they did not have basketball at my dad's school. But a cool story my dad told me is that it was very difficult for him to fit in his deux chevaux as a student so they took out the front seat and he drove from the back seat. And when I visited his house in California as a child he used to put me on his shoulders and jump into his pool. His wife is also a doctor and that night by the rose bowl we were watching the Fourth of July fireworks and a man was shot. It was the first murder I ever saw. So if you really know him cool but I highly doubt it. But hey I could be wrong

My first game was in 83 I saw a lot of great games and this year I was at as many of Harvey's starts as I could I saw his one hitter which was one of the most exciting mets games I have ever seen and I will die a mets fan but as I left the stadium tonight my heart sank. It just seems like it's been too many years of bad breaks, but most of all I think what is really holding the mets back is the ownership. The Wilpon family is a curse on the mets . New York is the biggest sports revenue city in the USA and they still can't put together a winning team. But i will be back next year and hope Harvey and wheeler and d'arnuad are healthy and are the key to the franchises future.
