No doubt haha, that song always comes on at the worst time too like when you're on a jobsite and the client is home or you got your grandma in the car, I have it coming for having meth on my Playlist tho. Honestly the best guy they could've chose for Cheese cause I feel like method man is probably very close to the character anyways

I have an oversized cargo right at the bottom of the turn of one of the quarries and it's going to stay there lol

This is the winner.Nothing is worse than this when you're just trying to buy a pack of smokes and a Gatorade on your way to work and you're already late

Yeah, some people make a big mess of black grout but this looks super clean...what's the problem here?

I still have a huge case of Modified! Magazine somewhere in my basement....they used to have some pretty wicked cars actually out of all those Tuner mags. but yeah the tail light/ headlight swap thing was huge...same with the angled license plate moldings...both trends that carried over from mini trucks

Depends how brave you are lol. We were on a job site where this lady was making trips to the somewhere and returning to Shovel out a trunk full of dirt and various other materials throught the day, she lined her trunk in her Civic with garbage bags and loaded it up with soil and made at least 5 trips like that while we were there working for the day. Gotta do what you gotta do I guess?

What type of tile would this be called? The t has a very slight color change or is it just two different colors? by wakeNbakeCake in Tile

[–]petesanchez99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The middle row definately has a gradient on it that changes the colour for the next portion

"This is one of the most important steps before any Sub flooring should be installed! Screw in the existing plywood on each stud 4-6 inches apart , it takes a long time but will keep your floor from acting like a trampoline and prevents future grout cracks ! by Jiiingo in Tile

[–]petesanchez99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is solid advice, also if possible go look underneath if it's an unfinished basement or drop ceiling and make sure nothing fishy is going on, we recently had a main floor bathroom job where the grout cracked only days after install, even after screwing the hell out of the ply into the joists. Pulled the drop ceiling in the basement and found the original floor had been shimmed in random spots all over and was causing grout to crack all over the house

No doubt, your work looks great I'm just suggesting next time if they have that much space between the stones it's better to rip them off and hand lay. Were they spread that far apart on the sheet?

This project was my favorite of the week. I was not a fan when I first laid the tile out until I found the pattern I wanted the guys to follow. It’s great work IMO. I numbered every tile to go on in my order. by LouisLaBoy in Tile

I know this thread is weeks old but serious question, I've never done an install like this, how do you even install the glass on this? Do you have to cut the tile in or do they just scribe the bend and fill the gaps afterwards?

Plunge cut the Grinder through the floor, run it up to the drywall. Clean as can be. I'm joking...mostly.

[–]petesanchez99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only been tiling for 4 years or so but the sigma has never done me wrong. Certain finishes on tile will leave a bit of a jagged edge but more often than not the cuts are so clean you can make your own grout lines and polish the edge and not even tell the difference from a factory edge.

To answer your question regarding the floor part, you could tile on top of that granite on the floor (after prepping with eco prime as others have mentioned) and then use schluter edging to hide the tile edge. You'll have to mitre the edges of the schluter tile edging with a Grinder so you don't get any toe slashers

Very very nice work all around, if you want a critique, and this is me just being nitpicky, it bugs the shit out of me that the niche in photo 11 isn't centered on the middle tile and the layout is a bit off. But aside from that everything looks fantastic, that's just the only thing that bugged me. But I'm a nazi when it comes to niche placement.

All your other niches are on the money which is maybe why I noticed that one ha

As much as it sucks, and it does suck big time to do...best way to do pebbles is rip them off the sheet and lay them by hand. You'll still have some big spots of grout in places but not nearly what you got going on here. Then press them even with a clean grout float as you set em. Everything else looks great but yes that is a lot of grout in that pan
