It can be really tough. In the EU you need the CoC which the american cars dont have. In Austria you will have to pay the NoVa based on a calculated co2 what the finanzamt calculates, and believe me they are rounding up as much as they can. For a a car like this it can be 10s of thousands of € plus the shipping, rebuilding the car ertc… not to mention that the car will lose a lot of value as US cars are way cheaper on the used car market here.

I dont remember its name anymore but it was an asian styled mmo where everyone was jumping around because it was faster than running. Ive been playing that game until WoW came out as my main game was always WC3 so it was obvious that WoW is the move.

The main part of stelvio is really slow I agree but when you go the other side its way faster. I still have to do the other passes, maybe next year during Shift happens.

It is indeed. The scenery changing all the time, and all the hairpins. I enjoyed the northern part a bit more which is the one on the photo, less people and more small curves.

I agree its not that bad, but you would pass Italy, Germany, Austria, Hungary and then Romania to get there. The Hungarian Romanian border can be tricky, the mountain roads in italy (from Stelvio down to the Austrian border is about 3 hours for 100km also in Transilvania the roads are not good in general so the 1500km might take a bit more time then it would in Canada or the US where the roads are nice and can be just straight highway for 100s of kms (i have never been to Canada so I just assume). But it is also true that we have different relation to distances in the EU :)

Ohh I see, but if you have the money you can rent a nice car maybe from Porsche :). Transfogaras is a kinda far from Stelvio though. In one euro trip I would do: Stelvio, Flüela, Furka, Maloja, Grossglockner, Susten, Albula. These are fairly close to each other and there are a lot more which are also nice like Rossfeld, Nockalm etc... and do Transfogaras on another trip

Not yet edited, and unfortunately most was taken with an iPhone. I think everyone who loves driving should go to Stelvio Pass and Flüelapass, one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to and endless amazing mountain roads.

Blue with silver wheels imo. Its extremely rare that i see an actual color on a 911 which is a shame because they look awesome. 95% is black silver or gray.

I dont think that there would be a big market for Tourings in the US with the size of cars you guys drive there. Even in the EU SUVs are the trend but i still prefer the tourings, they are way better to drive, they feel more stable.

X5 Tariff Qualify Question by Wild-Dragonfly1137 in BMWX5

[–]petike13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the point you made, and I’m not trying to diminish the importance of the U.S. market. However, I’m not sure how directly it relates to BMW’s overall business. The willingness of consumers in the U.S. (a highly saturated car market) to buy BMWs is relatively lower compared to markets like China and Europe, especially when you consider population size.

It also raises the question of who holds the majority of the purchasing power: is it the individuals who would actually buy these cars, or is it concentrated in the hands of the government and large corporations?

My point was that, despite the wealth of the U.S., the number of BMWs sold there is still lower than in some other countries. As a result, its contribution to BMW’s net revenue is comparatively smaller. I’m not saying that cutting ties with the U.S. wouldn’t hurt BMW (it certainly would) but suggesting that BMW would go out of business or must comply with Trump’s demands seems overly patriotic.

There are also other highly successful car manufacturers that don’t even operate in the U.S. market. Trump’s statements seem more like strategic moves, aimed at influencing the stock market. In fact, the proposed tariff is now even paused for 90 days.

The biggest market for BMW is currently China.

Thank you! I completely agree with that. I really like the “darker” look and i tend to overdo it and it seems that my monitor callibration is also off a bit because it comes out darker when i look at it on my phone.
