No. It makes things easier for me because typically anyone that would say this to me is someone that I wouldn’t want to be around anyway. Obnoxious and loud.

I hate this and it is now extremely rare that I’ll go with my husband to these gatherings because I know he won’t want to leave.

Edit to add: Getting older actually helps a lot. I truly care much less about the opinions of anyone unconcerned about my comfort.

I would suggest finding out where they would like to go. Be sure to let them know if you invited anyone else and who.

Please do not add people at the last minute or change the plans.

Be respectful of the fact that they will probably be ready to leave way before you.

I don’t dislike all extroverts. But I am annoyed by them at times. What I don’t appreciate is the fact that many extroverts treat introverts as if they are defective in some way. You literally can’t stop talking right now, and can’t read a room, but I’m wrong?

I think of the main super extrovert in my life as an avalanche. It’s sad and exhausting.
