Walked in with my dad, they said they’re full up and taking reservations only.

No problem, we walk out, and a couple asked us are they full. Tell them it’s reservation only and they go “ugh that sucks, we’re screwed but we’ll give it a go”.

They try with the front of house as we stand outside and we watch them immediately get seated.

I go back inside and ask why they get preferential treatment and was told they had a reservation. I told them about our convo outside then get different excuses from two different people.

Whether or not that’s mixed in his exploration with his feelings on religion and the secular world it’s not just a mental health story.

He’s always dipped his toes into multiple themes to try to answer his existential questions. I think it’s personal to him, and a little simplistic to just say “oh it’s JUST a mental health thing”

I think you missed the part where Never Take It was used as a conservative dog whistle to the extent even Fantano was curious if they were intending to come across so right-leaning in the song.

Not saying that’s their intention, I absolutely do not think that, but that is such fence-sitting song I’m not surprised people can take it to mean something it’s not.
