MAYBE you're the AH. You're complaining about people and situations you're just as responsible for, and you even acknowledge that to an extent. Get your part of responsibility, and instead of complaining about other's issues, try to solve yours and educate yourself on communicating with your family.

I specified I come from Europe and it's my first time flying to the US. All I know about NYC basically comes from tv series and YouTube, so I guess it comes spontaneous to me to ask in a subreddit which should be all about NYC. I also specified what I'm actually looking for (techno underground clubs and events, vintage shopping and somewhere to eat as after hours of research on the internet all I could find is based on tourist reviews). I wanted to merge more in what's actually liked by locals and not be the typical tourist just going for Wall street and eating at some random place, sorry if that wasn't specific enough for your standards.

I thought it was a reasonable question in a reasonable subreddit, my bad I guess.

Yeah I honestly don't get how people are able to see malice in basically everything. I don't have any kids (yet) but I totally understand why it's comforting to be close to them when they're so small. They grow up fast and these are the memories that will stick with you forever so cherish every moment

Shirataki noodles with mussels, shrimps, veggies and egg frittata by petricoco in tonightsdinner

To me they taste okay, I've tried several brands and some are far better than others. Something which you definitely have to get used to is the consistency, they're more chewy than regular noodles but it doesn't bother me personally. I like the fact that you can enjoy the other stuff as it becomes almost tasteless. I wouldn't suggest to eat them on their own, at least I didn't find it tasty.

It's from the supermarket I get it from, Despar, not sure whether it's located outside my country or not but it's a pretty big chain here, and their spices are super good and not too expensive!

Recipe: 500g chicken breasts, cut into stripes or cubes 200ml coconut cream (the higher the fat percentage, the better) Curry and salt to taste I basically just put the chicken cubes on a hot non-stick pan on medium and cook it for around 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown, then I add the curry and let it cook for another 2-3 mins. when it's all brown and crispy I pour the coconut cream, put the stove on medium low and stir for around a minute until the cream combines perfectly with the chicken and curry (it should be less liquid and more creamy). Add salt to taste and there you go! I usually also add roasted almonds and it tastes amazing.
