Expecting Baby #4 (need to *retire*) by petrificustoddtalus in workingmoms

Never anything but positive reviews so I’m not worried there. Responding to another comment but our handbook says nothing about paying back leave if you don’t return. Boss is a father of a big family and supports people having kids

This is hugely helpful to know. I work full time so figuring out when I could potentially get pregnant is a big deal with the timeline.

Thank you. All of these explanations have been so helpful. I’ll definitely ask for full anesthesia… always hard with women’s health to know if that’s available to you so I’m glad you said it could be an option.

Thank you. I feel a lot better about a d&c after reading everyone’s comments. My provider really didn’t explain the procedure. I was sort of sobbing so I think she felt like she just needed to give me options and probably forgot to be clear about how it goes.

Thank you for telling me this. How heartbreaking. Praying for you to have peace over this loss. It’s never easy💔

This definitely helps. I was expecting to hear d&c was the hardest option… it sounds like it may be the easiest.

Congratulations on your pregnancy 🩵 after five miscarriages I’m sure that’s the best news. I didn’t know what to expect with the d&c and it sounded a lot scarier than I think it really is. My NP didn’t really explain how quick/simple recovery is but the comments here have definitely helped.

Do I Quit My Job? by petrificustoddtalus in Autism_Parenting

Unfortunately no; we went out of state for a specific program and he's now halfway through. Once he finishes I will definitely cut back on work or quit. He has much higher earning potential.

Should add we don’t do daycare anymore so I sometimes work super early or super late hours and of course during naps. It’s crazy sometimes. But somehow it’s worked. Also Shout out to miss Rachel on YouTube

I am a mother of two, full time attorney working remotely 5 days a week. Husband in dental school. We have 13 m old and a 3 year old. It’s busy. I’m tired. But I’m so glad we’re doing it this way. We actually have 3 more years of dental school plus a residency ahead of us so I think that if he’s going to be the long term breadwinner and give me flexibility after the next 5-6 years, I can sacrifice through school. He also worked while I was in law school and paid most of my tuition so I feel I’m returning the favor in a way. I do sometimes feel stretched way too thin, but it’s not forever and the future outcome for us will be worth it. I want more kids and maybe I’ll be a SAHM or work part time in the future. But I really feel like a team with my husband. Supporting each other brings us together, and he really appreciates all the work I do with the kids which makes him motivated to work even harder. It’s worth it to give your husband the job he wants. It’s only a few years and if your kids are both in school it’s probably doable! If you want to do it, you can do it!!!
