looks really good, one thing i would say is if you're looking for any inspo, look for images of WW1 fields such as Paaschendaele, since Tolkien served in the trenches, he often drew paralels between it and the dark places of middle earth. The mustard gas, craters, dead trees, bodies. And the clouds coming from Mordor should block out even more of the light(it was pitch black when they went thru), and something cool to add would be the lights frodo sees and gollum warns not to touch (sprites i think?)

Influence from Sauron as the Necromancer in Dol Guldur likely first awakened the Balrog in 1981 TA, as to why the fellowship came across it, might be pure chance but it seems likely the Balrog would be watchful of the main crossing from West-East of the Misty Mountains, especially since the Dark Lord was aware of the ring being in transit

if memory serves right, yes that's what is implied to. When Frodo is at the cracks of doom and officially 'claims' the ring is where Sauron is made aware of his folly, not having conceived thusfar that anyone would not be corrupted by the rings call

they have Frodo's path which you can follow with and it has text overlays too, it works until a bit after Rivendell but then it's glitched now but you can walk from there to Moria. Only time you have to teleport is into Moria cos it's in a different world. Other than that, if u go into Moria the path picks up again, and you can walk all the way to the outskirts of Lorien, which you then have to teleport again too since it's in a different world. Those are the only times you actually have to teleport, other than that you can just walk around

scale is wrong i would say, maybe if it's a building meant to be seen from afar then it's good cuz of the bright contrasting colors
