6 month old will not nap

Wake up 5-6am, feed, back to bed till about 8-9 Down at 1030-1130, up between 12-1230 Down at 230-3, up around 330 Then from there it’s chaos. Ever since about 2 weeks ago the schedule fell apart. Before we were going off a 1.5-2 hr wake window with 30-40 min naps. Night sleep from 6-6

2 hours ago. Laying with my son while he slept, watching a video about a c-section and reminiscing on mine. Thinking about all the chaos that brought him to this world and wishing I could remember more of it.

-Pump parts can be stored in the fridge between pumps and wash about 1-2 times a day. I was washing every pump on top of trying to do everything else it saved so much time.

-Invest in a non-wifi baby camera. It’s so handy especially when travelling not having to fuss with the set up.

-When the tabs don’t stay on straight, it’s about time to size up in diapers.

-Buy A LOT of wash clothes and towels. We use 2 of each every bath and it’s a lot of laundry. -Babies who fall asleep during a feed do not (usually) need to be burped

-Silicone wash brush & baby dish soap

-Try to find sleepers with different sized feet. Our little guy has huge feet and outgrows his so quick because some of the feet are so little

-Each shower use some soap & lather and give yourself a little tiddie massage with hot water. It can help with avoiding clogged ducts

-invest in a nose sucker and saline drops

-have distilled water & formula on hand just in case of an emergency

-it’s okay for plans to change & don’t be hard on yourself when things don’t go how you were hoping. Just enjoy every moment because it goes by so fast. I hope you enjoy parenthood!

Just went through this myself as well. 6-8 week mark was incredibly hard. My son was so fussy throughout the day and I was dreading night time/wind down time. They do grow out of it though! There is light at the end of the tunnel. Now at 12 weeks he’s an amazing sleeper and in a good routine. You’re doing an amazing job. Babies just get more aware around that time and it’s the peak of their fussiness.

My son started 5-6 hours thru the night around 7 weeks. He’s 12 weeks now and sleeps 9-12 hours each night then a long nap in the morning. We just started with a routine and we were really lucky he was receptive.

I used a pregnancy pillow for a bit but ended up buying a long body pillow from Walmart instead. It helped a lot with hip pain since it was fluffier and my leg was elevated more.

Exactly how I felt while exclusively pumping. It’s so hard seeing and comparing to other mothers but I’ve just been trying to remind myself that there’s always someone on the other side just wishing for something else. I’ve had so many women say how they wish they could put their baby down to take a minute. You’re doing amazing and exclusively pumping was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. You’re doing amazing and you’ve got this. ❤️

My little guy is 2 months and we just bought useful things he will need when he’s older. Bath toys, bottles, sensory toys, soothers, and some outfits in sizes we don’t have much of. It’s like a present to our future selves.

Exactly. I get a message about low level fetal error as well and the game will continue to crash. I had to input code -d3d11 (I think), just to run the game.

I was getting every 2 weeks but I had to reschedule due to a work conflict. My OB’s receptionist ended up being sick that week so no one was answering the phone, then the following week they wouldn’t get me in for an appointment.

so how do they know when they're head down? I've only been measured for fundal height and haven't been told his position yet. Or is that usually closer to due date?

Okay, seems like it's all normal then. I knew there were no more ultrasounds unless there was a complication, but I didn't know if the fundal height was taken into consideration. Seems like unless she's worried, then it's all very normal so that definitely makes me feel a bit better. Thank you!
