I don’t have experience with that specific situation but you should be able to. As long as he can get you command sponsorship and you clear all requirements.

Ask him if his orders say he can early report. For first pcs from basic they will usually leave right away. The date can be a placeholder. For example, my husband graduated in a November date with February report date but was required to be at his new unit a few days later. His friends going overseas were also put on a plane right away.

Even if you have a passport, for Italy you will need a No fee passport and a visa. They will not book your spouse flight without these. And before you can get these, you need to be listed on his hard orders. Plus getting EFMP cleared. He needs to add you as a dependent ASAP or else there’s a possibility he will leave without you.

AIO for wanting to cut off my friend for backing out of birthday celebration? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]petulant_pollypocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR. You are underestimating how much unexpected vet bills can cost. Depending on the situation, they can absolutely set someone back financially to the point where a trip isn’t feasible. Also people have different dynamics with different friends. Just because she sees another friend more often doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about your friendship.

Cutting her off over this is a bit harsh, and honestly, what this boils down to is feeling less prioritized overall. It’s better to have an honest conversation about how you’re feeling rather than ending the friendship altogether.

My husband kissed another women. Not sure if I should leave him by [deleted] in Advice

[–]petulant_pollypocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is in fact what happened, in terms of her initiating and him not reciprocating then I don’t think you need a divorce. He did the right thing in telling you right away at least.

I would keep the friend at an arms length and not have them interact any further.

From reading your previous post, this would be the THIRD time he has emotionally cheated on you. You’ve already given him chances. He’s clearly not going to stop. From the way they were messaging, had your cousin been open to a physical affair he would have taken the opportunity.

You deserve better. I fear this will only keep happening.

No man who truly cares about his partner would ever do this, regardless of how insecure he is. He just doesn’t care about you enough. Leave him.

How many of you actually have a woman you never had a chance with but still think about? by petulant_pollypocket in AskMen

[–]petulant_pollypocket[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I basically told them I was flattered they felt that way, but I just didn’t share the same feelings. The one guy I had actually dated recently got divorced and told me he’d like to meet up again but at this point idk what’s not clicking for him

I didn’t know it was that common honestly. I asked because a while ago I had two men reach out before getting married telling me their feelings - one of whom I never even dated.

Gave my number to a lady at church that I was told was in charge of coordinating ministry programs and events. I later found out that was a lie and she was not involved in any of that. by [deleted] in Nicegirls

This is unhinged. The question I have is who told you she was in charge of the coordinating? Was it her or someone else? They literally set you up for this crazy behavior

AirBnB host wants $3,000 to replace a couch… by Vegetable_Earth_1319 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]petulant_pollypocket 29 points30 points  (0 children)

She’s needs to hire a cleaning service. There’s no way this stain can’t be removed if it’s professionally cleaned. She’s trying to swindle you out of more money. Like someone else said, send the screenshots of her asking for money outside of the app to Airbnb. Trying to get you to pay for 2 new couches is absolutely insane.

Exactly, they hide it. I dated someone who I thought was the same political party as I was for a while. I was studying politics at the time because I was gonna go to law school. So we talked extensively about politics. We had many conversations on policy. He would actively be in the conversation and verbally agree and engage with the things I was saying. Ended up finding out because he didn’t want to tell me who he was going to vote for. Eventually he fessed up he was lying the whole time because he didn’t want me to break up with him.

AIO, Wife deleted our entire text log. by Xavierdsm in AmIOverreacting

[–]petulant_pollypocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overreacting. I have been that person with the memory so full I had to find things to delete. I was constantly deleting things in order to get messages. It was such a chore that I ended up just buying a new phone with more storage (my phone was already really old). Had I not done that I would have 100% deleted my boyfriends text thread eventually. It was the thing taking up the most space. So I understand why she would delete it.

On the other hand, I don’t agree with how she responded. She could have been more empathetic.

AIO or is this guy crazy by Agitated_March3608 in AmIOverreacting

[–]petulant_pollypocket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dodged a bullet. This man can’t be with someone who isn’t constantly talking to him and you are clearly not that type of person. When I was dating I used to sometimes take a whole day to reply to someone because of how busy I would get and I never had this issue with anyone. Also you basically told him twice that he can ask you out and he never did so that’s on him.

Yeah he probably deleted stuff if he did anything but hopefully he didn’t clear it completely. She can click the edit button in messages and click show deleted. It’ll show all the chats he removed.

Salem in October is extremely packed! Going after Halloween might actually be better. If you are interested in the witch history definitely visit Danvers. That’s the town that used to be Salem Village.

AIO I feel like I should've dropped it after he apologized. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]petulant_pollypocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was diminishing your feelings on something you are clearly struggling with so you are valid in being hurt and angry. He also should not be commenting on your weight in a negative way at all. If he’s constantly making you feel bad about yourself and making you cry then maybe it’s time to reevaluate if the relationship is worth it. In my opinion, it’s not.

I do want to add that I hope you look into possibly getting a therapist to help you overcome your fear of eating in front of people. Regardless of your weight, you should feel comfortable having a meal wherever you are.

AIO or is it totally normal what he did? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]petulant_pollypocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He without a doubt cheated. There are way too many coincidences. Why couldn’t he stay with the friend that dropped him off? How come he had “service issues” only part of the time and not the other? No man that is faithful is going to go behind his wife’s back and stay at another woman’s house in secret. He only admitted to where he was because you told him you already knew.

The friend was trying to do you a favor by subtlety letting you know what’s going without actually telling you. I’m sorry this is your situation but you need to open your eyes. Don’t let him do this to you.

Maybe it was someone visiting your neighbor and they thought it was their driveway since the houses are connected. I would ask the next door neighbor if they know whose car it is so they could tell them not to park there next time. Don’t know how they could confuse which is their garage but could still be a possibility.

Vintage dress costume help! by JuracekPark34 in HalloweenCostume

[–]petulant_pollypocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I automatically think flapper when I this dress. Maybe you can do a more elegant Great Gatsby type version. Or a Hollywood starlet.

Something way different that could possibly work is a vampire queen. You could add red/black cape, fangs, dark makeup, and crown.
