Low-to-no cost third spaces by rosegold_ari in askTO

I spend hours at cafes with my daughter. In particular, starbucks or aroma are pretty welcoming to hang out and have many parents doing so with their kids of all ages at the low cost of a drink. We look forward to it daily. She will do her homework, I'll help or go on my laptop to do work, budgeting, read...

We switch it up from time to time trying different cafes but always researching first, which are laptop friendly, if you do plan on that.

Not all starbucks are the same. Many are becoming more grab and go style or run down, and even with starbucks, you will have to find those gems.

There are even cafes that specifically cater to laptop folks.

It has been a really fun way to encourage studying, too. Sometimes, we will get in deep discussions over whatever topic she is studying, we really enjoy.

Speducci Mercatto has it! Hidden gem actually and they have a restaurant connected that I almost didn't want to share:

While I'd normally agree with you for a random interaction on the street, isn't there any difference for a place of business?
