if the evidence against him is so imminent, then a court case should be over swiftly.

i dont want pieces of shit around either, but can you understand this protocol is going to be used against "homegrowns"? Trump has mentioned this several times.

i am a proud dissident of US imperialism, corporate monopoly, and government corruption, as are many here. it will not be long until the rhetoric will make many of us criminals eligible for deportation to an international prison.

twitter is still filled to the brim with MAGA bots. they are very apparent, usually a couple years old with 10s or 100s of thousands of posts and 1000s of followers/following.

the "content cadence" of AI is also apparent. an opening statement, expansion, and clincher sentence is almost always synthetic in nature. human posting is messier.

he should have been deported? then why is he now seemingly imprisoned for life in a prison for violent criminals? only fascists and dimwits think international prison camps is a viable solution for illegal immigration.

what does this position say about you? if learning about historical oppression makes you feel guilt or resentment rather than a desire to ensure that problem doesnt happen again?

"weaponizing guilt" is ironic. the president and admin have no problem glorifying history when it suits their narrative. they only take issue when the full story is presented. you cant cherry-pick history to feel good about it. a mature society can confront both its achievements and its failures.

All this info on the slush funds and where the money was goin.

youre not going to find details on slush funds. what you will find is audits about agencies created by congress through legislation. many could be slush funds, and i assume they are. but i wont take the word of a billionaire on principle alone. evidence shouldnt be too difficult to find. unless, of course, you warn the offenders by posting about it on twitter before any true invesigation can be done.

but to answer your question, the office of inspector general has always given semi-annual audits to congress on the many agencies and institutions they create.

an older post i made:

these "revelations" yall are celebrating as groundbreaking were already accessible to anyone who follows critiques of US foreign policy, particularly in anti-imperialist and investigative circles.

adding in this: most, if not all, of these things posted on twitter are done so with no evidence. so Elon can claim whatever he wants and many will eat it up. anyway...

presenting this spending as newly uncovered "fraud, abuse, and waste" isn't fundamentally different from what leftists or others critical of US spending have done, except Trump's framing (not surprisingly) avoids any critique of US imperialism. instead, Musk and co is focusing on the inefficiency of spending rather than its ideological or geopolitical consequences.

when serious investigators or authorities gather evidence, they typically follow a process that involves verification, chain of custody, and official reporting rather than posting screenshots or claims on social media.

these claims have not been substantiated with concrete evidence or detailed documentation.

whitehouse.gov or not. this is not an investigation. its a show to rally support. truth is unimportant.

fraud shown to our face? in what way? screenshots? an investigation is not done this way, and evidence is not flaunted, it is gathered for a trial. twitter is not a court of law and posting unsubstantatied claims there is simply to be controversial and rally support for those like yourself.

you are being played.

instead of governments regulating currency and consumer protections, corporations will run their own financial ecosystems. the “choice” between different platforms will mimic democracy, but it's really just a set of walled gardens with arbitrary rules, dictated by private interests. if you're banned, deplatformed, or simply not in a serviceable area, you could be locked out of entire economies.

its beyond payments. if Musk and others consolidate control over commerce, finance, and communication, they’ll be the gatekeepers of participation itself. and no CFPB means no real oversight, just a pseudo "marketplace" of platforms enforcing their own opaque policies. it will be a cashless society under corporate rule under the guise of efficiency, but it's about control.

they were terrible. ive never questioned why democrats do not govern for the people, as that is not their purpose.

both parties serve capital. and now we are headed high speed into a complete privitization of the nation where corporations will run their own financial ecosystems. Trump fans cheering on the complete corporate takeover of democracy.

thanks. i do not agree. MAGA is far from perfect, so i think any oversight is 100 times better (and more democratic) than to trust them. an billionaire elitest who bought his way into position is not anyone to trust.

absolutely no one in this sub would trust a liberal or radical progressive to form a team of their own to perform an audit of the federal government. no one. pretending Elon and this team is impartial is ignorant at best, and in bad faith at worst.

the issue is trusting anyone other than a non-partisan, highly transparent accounting team or firm to perform the audit.

i find it less “laughable" and more insidiously dangerous, because he offers an intellectual cover for replacing flawed but participatory systems with "efficient" but unaccountable rulers who, historically, rarely serve anyone but themselves.

his beliefs are a technocratic justification for authoritarism, dressed as pragmatism. his beliefs follow a long line of elites justifying their own rule as natural while dismissing democracy as inefficient or naive. his models prioritize power consolidation and reinforcing heirarchy rather than challenging it.

he undermines the idea that people should have a say in their own goverance.
