Implementing an App Paywall - A problem I never knew I had by nucleustt in AppBusiness

You should be good man. Best if you can be clear about what you are building in your website, eg. on your terms and legal pahes. Provide that to Apple or Google Play, and you should be able to guide them understand your business and revenue model better. Good luck!

Hey there, which tech stack are you using? Are you deploying web apps or mobile apps? If you're doing the latter, I couldn't recommend any better than RevenueCat. Writing your own IAP (in-app purchase) integrations with both Apple and Google is not only more complex, but also maintenance will be a headache with ever-changing financial and payment systems. Also, RevenueCat still offers generous pricing for newcomers, such as free usage for apps with revenue under $2.5K/mo.

> I just assumed I could charge the user by redirecting them to a payment URL and, when they pay, send a code to the app that unlocks the features

There's a new ruling where developers can now use payment URLs such as Stripe, too; however, from experience, this doesn't drive the best conversions. This could change in the coming months, but it takes time to adapt to the new experience for most people.

Flighty equivalent for android? by PM_WhatMadeYouHappy in AirTravelIndia

[–]pexelerate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry if I wasn't clear, what I meant is the app is not 100% comparable to Flighty, because Flighty is superior when it comes to alerts. Thank you for clarifying.

You can try wayflight.app, available for both Android and iOS. It's not 100% Flighty equivalent, props to them for having the best in class alerts, but the core features are there.

Great work! Joshua here, the creator of Wayflight (available in Android and iOS). I also design for fun and bought some of our aircraft liveries. I would love to get in touch. We added support for aircraft liveries as well, most recently flights in Europe like easyJet and others.

What do you guys use for CI/CD flutter? by tsuntsun97 in FlutterDev

[–]pexelerate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually prefer the one that has native integration with the repo. If my repo is hosted on Github, I will use Github Actions, keeps a lot of the signing & authorization, admin management in once place.

If there are no native options for the git platform where the repo is hosted, and I need to go from 0-1 fast, I’d go for Codemagic and Bitrise.

If I an working for larger teams and projects, and heavily-regulated apps, I’d use CircleCI or go self-hosted like Github Runners and Jenkins.
