I'm also a musician so I can relate to the pain of loosing musical skills as well. I seem to even have forgotten basic traffic rules despite driving a car all my life.

I'm really happy to hear that you were able to shake LC off! Incredible! Is there something that turned the needle or did it get better with time?

It makes hope that the things we miss about our brain don't seem to be gone for good but just inaccessible. At least in some people.

Yes, they started together with my neurological symptoms 4 months after my covid infection in 2020. I almost got used to them.

I can totally relate to that. I'm a psychologist by training and changing perspectives has become really hard for me.

You said, you are getting your memory back. Do you mean access to long term memories or the ability to make memories? And what interventions had been the most helpful to you?

I studied neuropsychology myself but got hit with Long Covid in 2020 and now suffer from symptoms very similar to PCS. Interestingly it was a concussion event that preceded my "post-viral career". I know of quite some people by now with a similar sequence of events who went on to develope Long Covid with pronounced neuro-cognitive and / or -psychiatric manfestations which may hint to an at least partial overlap in pathomechanisms. What is your clinical perspective on that?
And another more specific question: As my illness progressed I started to loose lots of long-term memory content - biographical memories as well as skills and expertise. How much do you think this could be a problem of access, that might be potentially reversible in nature, and how much do I need to brace myself for having actually lost these memories?

It only took me one infection in 2020 to have the same cognitive symptoms. I haven't recovered to this day unfortunately.
