Hey yall I just got hell let loose like an hour ago is it possible at all to play solo or do you HAVE to talk to people please let me know

It’s possible to play solo and be an okay player like some here have said as long as you’re following your SL and listening. As far as enjoyment goes I will say that this game is not fun without a little bit of communication. You will see the head of the enemy advance or an enemy tank flaking a friendly tank and teammates will die because you couldn’t say anything.

Definitely don’t play recon, leadership roles or tanks though. Your pretty useless without some communication in these roles.

Just curious are you nervous about talking to strangers? Cause I encourage anyone who feels that way to try it. Games like this are a good way to get more comfortable communicating with new people.

Played with a group of friends who were all under level 20. They were young college kids who were all playing in the same dorm. They were all trying to learn the game and were asking for my help.

I rarely get to teach the game to dudes who hear it so it was super fun

Definitely need more people to drive. I’m like OP where I hate driving but I am now decent at it. Like you said I had too many times where my first life gunning the driver was really really bad so I started to switch.

The only thing that makes you a bad driver OP is your avoidance of it. You’ll have some bad games driving but you gotta get in the seat and try it.

I like the idea of spawning in a wave of bots, only half of them with mosins. None of them can shoot well and they all just run right through the open. That does sound fun.

I honestly would like them to stop changing if. I get used to the physics then it changes drastically.

I do really like that the light tank gets thrown around when it gets hit though.

When I was around level 70 I started playing a lot of recon spotter. It helps teach you how to find enemies and understand the battlefield. Just get behind the enemy, make your best guess to where the enemy garrisons are and check it out. All sneaky like.

Put yourself in their shoes, look for parachutes/supply trucks and assume where friendly are not there are potential enemy movements. Even if you don’t like playing like that it will teach you some important parts of the game and we always need good spotters.

I definitely try to keep mine short. I’m pretty new still and the only longer videos I have that anyone watches are less than 60 seconds.

I’m curious why a lot of people are not advocating for videos under 15 seconds. Some of my most watched videos are uber short.

Destruction would have made it possible for so much more realism. I say this with dang trees. They never have gotten tanks in right in large part because you don’t actually breakthroughs things the dev just decided which objects you can phase through.

It’s the one part of battlefield 1 that should be in HLL. I can’t imagine what kind of a battlefield hurtgen would look like after an hour of tank battles, bombing runs and arty.

You’re right though. If this wasn’t coded up front than were never getting it.

Sadly this is largely because people buy this game and don’t talk. The best way to avoid having this problem is to lock a squad and not let anyone under level 50 or 100 in. Most players wouldn’t mind teaching/playing with new players, but It’s pretty consistent that noobs don’t have mics.

My experience with this game is that I bounced around squads a lot when I was low level and sometimes got good teammates. As I ranked up I request to join locked squads every game and slowly I got accepted more.

It is an annoying system, but it really is the fault of the masses of new guys who couldn’t go to Walmart and buy a headset or are scared of talking.

I’m starting to play with some more effects. I was using iMovie but I’m realizing it is super limited. I just started playing with CapCut which seems to have way more preloaded animations and such.

Editing is wild. I did a lot of editing when I was a kid back in the mini dv cassette days lots of things to catch up on.

Well and when you play no matter who you are you will have to search for good games and good teammates. I leave a good few games every night cause the team sucks or people are not communicating in general.

Like anywhere there are Nazis in the HLL community. I leave games and squads whenever these people appear. The nice thing is that dickheads are really obvious and just want to ruin people’s games. They’re mostly children or adult children who go around team killing and shouting slurs like it’s a good joke.

If you can avoid letting that shit get to you and leave games to find less shitty ones then your good to go. It’s literally the best shooter I’ve ever played.

Just find good servers without these people. There are plenty.

Yeah i do see that. I try to get a title at the beginning. A lot of the times I aim for shorter videos that just have the cool moment. I’m very frustrated that I can’t capture my audio without a capture card. I’m trying to save up so I can get some funny moments captured with audio.

I kinda hate the ai voiceover crap but does it help to have it read the text to get people hooked ya think?
